Epilogue - Part 2

500 Years Later

- Loki's POV -

I was trying to stay awake during a council meeting when a couple of guards came bursting through the door, causing everyone to look at them in alarm. They must've run here from somewhere as they were trying to catch their breath. Finally, one of them pulled themselves together

"My King, there's a commotion in the town"

"A commotion?"

"Yes, your majesty, there's...well, there's goats"

"I beg your pardon?"

He cleared his throat before continuing "There's hundreds of goats running throughout the streets. We're not exactly sure where they're coming from"

I tried my best not to laugh and stood up, facing the table full of dignitaries "My apologies, but I best go deal with this. It appears that my children have taken it upon themselves to cause some mischief" I looked back to the guards "Don't worry, I'll handle it"

They nodded and quickly scurried away while I headed out of the council room and towards the front of the palace. As I got closer, I saw that Y/N was standing there with my mother. Not far past them were my two youngest, Vali and Anthony, who were cackling and seemingly quite proud of themselves for what they had pulled off. I stepped up next to my wife who was looking quite upset with her arms crossed. She looked over at me briefly and then nodded towards the kids

"Your children have created total chaos"

"I see that. You have to admit that it's quite funny" She looked at me with horror on her face while my mother stifled a laugh "Darling, there's hundred of goats running around right now. How is this not funny?"

She sighed and shook her head "I guess it's a little funny, but that doesn't mean they won't be punished for this"

"As you wish" I kissed her cheek before slowly walking up to the troublesome twins. They didn't hear me until I was standing right behind them. They didn't turn around, but their laughter died down and very slowly they tilted their heads back to look at me

Haraldr gulped and Vali gave a forced smile "Hi papa"

"Hello. What are the two of you doing?"

They both finally turned to face me, Anthony looked terrified while Vali was putting on her best brave face. Vali seemed to be taking charge on this so she looked towards the goats quickly before turning back to me

"Well, we had learned about duplication spells in school and we decided that we would try it out. We wanted to practice before we needed to perform it in school"

"Is that right?" They both nodded "You seem to forget that I know the school curriculum. Which means that I also know that duplication spells aren't taught until fourth year"

Both of their eyes widened and they turned to look at each other, hoping that the other would save them. I gave them a minute before bending down, getting eye level with them.

"So, which one of your siblings do I have to punish for teaching you this?"

Anthony gulped and looked at his sister "I can't say, papa, I promised"

"Very well. Vali?"

She shook her head "I promised too, papa"

I stood back up and crossed my arms, looking down at them "If you won't tell me then you'll both be punished double. Your own punishment plus the punishment of whoever should be in trouble. Understood?" They both nodded "Good. Now, go apologize to your mother for the mess that you've caused"
