Recently, I've seen some of these 'books' on Wattpad but the majority of them talk about popular books and those are already popular enough.
So many new writers/readers tend to read those with a gazillion reads because they get the most publicity. Well I find that handy-dandy 'recommended' list very good for spotting undiscovered gems. Also, since One Direction fanfiction has mainly taken over Wattpad, it's pretty hard to find original stories that you like/love/can't to go sleep because you can't stop reading.
And just in case the ones that pop up on your recommended list doesn't suit your fancy, I decided to compile a list/book of all the novels/series that I loved and totally think you should read. It ranges from all genres. So take a crack at it! You might find a book you really enjoy in here!
