Title: Race for the Heart

Summary: Poppy lives a different life than the rest of the teenagers in Phoenix. First, she has a broken family and they certainly have never been rich. Second, she has to fight for what she wants in her job because she is a girl. Lastly? Poppy is an illegal street racer. Everything is good until her boss tells her theres a new guy in the business. Being the best known, despite for her age, Poppy isn't scared for competition. However, everyone knows just how much the new racer's team wants to take her down.
When Poppy gets to meet the racer himself, she finds that he isn't so bad after all. In fact, he might be the one to steal her heart away. She spends the rest of her summer days with him and learns that he understands more than others. Will Poppy's dream man escape when she returns to school, only to see that he's her teacher?
My Thoughts: I don't read many Teacher/Student romance books so my opinion may be a little bias here since I'm not as experienced on this topic.
I thought Poppy's lifestyle is very original. It's not like Poppy attends a school and *bam* there's a hot teacher and the typical drama filled storyline ensues. It's not like that. She's a street racer who meets him beforehand. I think this type of contrast is something not many of this genre did. Once again, I'm inexperienced with this topic, so I don't know if original meetings have become the norm. I like the fact that she doesn't know that he's her to-be teacher at first because you can see the contrast playing out. What would have been a normal relationship . . . and what made it not a normal relationship. Check it out! (External link on the side)
