Aron's POV
i spend the night at Kolt's again and i was relieved to know that no one could come up here. I fell asleep immediately as my head hit the plush pillow on his over sized bed. He told me he'd take the floor since I was the king and all, I told him I wasn't king yet and we went on like that for quite a while, arguing over the bed and sleeping arrangements. Eventually I gave in and allowed him to sleep on the floor. I wanted to put him in bed as soon as he fell asleep, but with my luck I was asleep way before him...

(The next morning)
I woke up content, it was the best nights sleep I've had since I came here. I stood up and saw a sleeping Kolt on the floor with his face pressed against the floor and without a shirt on. I looked at him and found him quite attractive for a guy. With his muscles and abs, his sun kissed skin, the light dusting of hair. He was actually gorgeous. My eyes widened when I looked up at his face and saw his eyes on me, watching me with open curiosity. I could feel my face catch fire as I burned with embarrassment.
"Mmmm-ooorrning!" I stuttered as I walked past him. I went to the kitchen but felt his stare all the way there.
"Morning, how'd you sleep last night?" He asked.
"I suppose I slept better than you!" I replied. As I got to the kitchen I saw there was very little for me to do and eat.
"Hey Kolt?"
"Yeah!"
"Can we go get food, because there's nothing here?" I heard a scurrying in the bedroom and sure enough Kolt came out with clothes on and walked to the door. I looked at his back and frowned, thoroughly confused..
"You coming?" He asked.
"What are we going to do?" I asked, but still got my shoes and went to him.
"We're going to hunt?" He spoke so calmlu I thought he joked but I could see he was serious by the look in his eyes.
"You're not serious, are you?"
'Yep," he said popping the 'p' and looked at me with a smirk.
"But why?" I asked horrified.
"Because," he began talking to me like I was a five-year-old, "as future king you need to know how to hunt and where, as well as all the techniques of how to hunt." He said and I nodded, not liking this at all.
"Isn't there people to do that for me?" I asked. Kolt turned to look at me with an unknown expression, a look between anger and disbelief.
"So what your saying is that you want servant to be at your beg and call, while you become a spoiled fat king who uses everyone?" He asked. My eyes widened.
"No, of course not, I was just curious. I would never do that to people. Its wrong and inhumane." I told him all the while I thought, I was exactly like that at my previous house, I just ordered people around to my liking. I know now that it was wrong of me to do that...
"Then let's go hunt..." Kolt said and went out the door, I hurried after him as he led us into the thick forrest. I looked at Kolt and saw he had a bag slung over his shoulder and wondered what was in it.
"What's in the bag?" I asked.
"Hunting gear."

What felt like forever of constant training with every weapong imaginable, from a hunting knife to a spear, to bear traps and camouflage to even using a bow and arrow. I mastered everything he showed me and I was really proud of myself. Though I did throw up when I saw the blood of my first victim, and of course I feel guilty for killing it but like Kolt said, "only the strong survive." I didn't like that phrase at all, I wondered to what extent they would go to survive, I gave an inward shudder as images flashes in my mind. It was not a pretty sight to see. When we return to the house the sun was setting and I was tired from the training I received today, my muscles were aching and my brain was on the verge of exploding with information. I went straight to the bed, fell on it and slept.

I was awake just as the sun rose, I quietly stepped outside and looked at the morning beauty that was visible to me. How the trees and flowers glowed, how dew drops shone as the sun hit them, how everything looked magical and peaceful all at once and for once I thought that I was very fortunate to be able to rule a place so magnificent.
I sensed Kolt was awake, how I did it and how I knew I would never know. He came outside and stood there with me as we kept looking at nature.
"Beautiful isn't it?"
"Very! Its magical and so serene. To be able to wake up and see this every morning is amazing."
I looked up at Kolt and smiled. He returned it with a wide grin... As soon as the smile was on his face it left and was replaced by a frown, which in return caused me to frown.
"What?" I asked and he took a deep and said, "you need to meet the people of Evergreen.". He said it so softly that I almost didn't hear it. I thought about it and knew that it has to happen eventually, so I nodded and replied. "Okay, just let me get ready and then we can go." He looked shocked at my sudden acceptance, but then he looked at me and laughed.
"Why are you laughing?" I asked with a slight frown on my face.
"Because it doesn't seem like your afraid of anything anymore. And with the reply you just gave me I'm sure you're going to be a great king." He said with a little chuckle.
I rolled my eyes, even I knew it was the truth, I went to the small bathroom and hopped in the shower. I showered and got dressed with the clothes Kolt laid down for me, I the continued to put on the shoes he handed over and after a few minutes got my hair in order.
"Ready!" I mumbled as I stepped out of the house saw Kolt already shifted. He nodded in approval and told me to climb on. I was excited to fly with him, it was such an adrenaline rush that I got from the speed and knowing that I was on a phoenix's back set my heart pumping. I was careful not to hurt his wings as I got on, I wrapped my arms and legs around him and as I was done, he walked over to the edge and spread his wing, I felt the power of his muscle as he got ready to fly. As we nose dived down the cliff I laughed for some unknown reason, maybe it is happiness, I really didn't care, I felt free. As we were nearing the ground Kolt spread his wings and we went up in the air again, after a few minutes perhaps longer we finally decided to land, well he did. Soon he shifted back and came to me, we were at the end of the little village or whatever you want to call it, so I think he wanted me to meet them as I walked through the place.
"Are you ready?" He asked and I nodded, not that afraid anymore.
'Here goes nothing' I thought as we began walking....
