Fourteen!!

Aron's POV

I fell to my knees when I heard a sudden screech and then nothing but a hard thud on the ground. I knew something bad has happened to Kolt. I felt the power that was in him rush back into my body and knowing it was to happen over a period of time not so sudden confirmed my worst fears. I quickly stood up and allowed the trees and winds to show me the way to Kolt as they knew where he was.

It was cool knowing that the plants, trees, elements, basically anything and everything to do with nature was under my control. I walked faster through the thick brush of trees which after a while opened up and showed me to a clearing.

A gasp left my lips as I saw a battered and broken phoenix who stared at me with those coal black eyes as they had a glassy look to them. I heard nothing, no breathing, no heartbeat, nothing. I knew it was Kolt laying on the floor in front of me and I knew that he was dead. I ran towards his dead body and started crying as I saw the blood around him and his feathers ripped and torn from his body. I had to do something to help him, anything to bring him back to me. I sobbed and sniffed and soon called my inner voice.

Is there anything we can do for him? I asked my inner voice.

There is, but I don't know if it will work, seeing as you only got your powers now and even if you had them for a while it would still be risky, but we can try to bring him back, if you're up to it.

I'm up for it, anything to save him.

Very well.

I felt the power in me surge as I saw a blinding light erupt from the forest on it way to us. As it drew closer I felt more power leave me and as it broke through the trees I could see what it was. It was a vortex as it swirled around in itself. Inside was a blue green color that flowed together.

Take Kolt and go inside the vortex. My inner voice told me.

I nodded my head, picked up Kolt with little difficulty and walked towards the vortex. As I got closer to it I felt it pull me closer and closer, when suddenly I was pulled in, Kolt still in my arms..

I know it short and everything but I thought I'd give you a taste of what is to happen.

What do you think is going to happen.

Is Kolt going to live or not. What is Aron going to do and what is in store for him..?
