I stared at the guy kneeling in front of my in utter shock, he just told me that I'm his king. how is that even possible. I'm just a normal kid who sit in a library reading all day long with a fear of people. but know there is a guy I didn't eve know kneeling and telling me that I'm his king.
"this is madness, your joking right? " I asked, wanting him to tell me it is a joke and to burst out laughing. but when he just looked up at me I knew he wasn't going to say that.
"no, why would I joke about something like that?" he asked and i just kept shaking my head in denial, no way was I a king, it is impossible.
"this has to be a joke, I'm still asleep, yeah thtat's it im asleep and I'll wake up at any moment." I mumbled to myself and saw him went to sit on the bed.
"then answer me this?? did you feel like the book was calling you telling you to read it.?" he asked and I gulped, how did he know.? when I didn't answer he simply nodded.
"see, I am sorry, no I'm happy to say that you are our king." he said with a bow of his head.
"what is this place? " I asked him.
he quickly looked at me and smiled lightly. he walked over to the door and as he spoke he opened the door.
"welcome to Evergreen, the world of supernatural beings." he spoke with such pride and happiness when he said it, that I had to look outside to see what was so special about it.
as I walked to the door and looked outside, I gasped at the beauty of this place. it was magnificent as you gazed at the tree that stood tall and pround, leaves rustling as a gentle breeze blew, there were waterfalls wath the blue water cascading down rock into a small pond down below. flowers blooming with their unique colors fragrances infiltrating my nose. a wilow trees weeping as drops of water fell down. the sun plying as it shone through the trees, rays of sunlight shining as their colors shone with such beauty it left you breathless.
"wow!!" was all I could say.
"yeah, its a breathtaking sight to see. isn't it." his voice held pride, as well as the way he stood looking about the place.
"you said supernatural beings. I'm human, I clearly don't belong here." I said and he looked away. I could see he wasn't telling me something and i want to know. "
"what aren't you telling me!? " I told him, my eyes narrowed.
"well, uhm, you see, you are unique." he said awkwardly. I simply raised an eyebrow.
"(cough,) uhm, do you know all the mystical creatures of legends?" he asked and I gave him a 'duh' expression.
"I have been reading books like forever, of course I know them all."
"are you sure?'' I was sure I knew all of them so i nodded.
"name them..." he said and i swallowed nervously, for some unknown odd reason.
"fairies, witches, werewolf, vampires, demon, dragon, elders, elementals, pixies, angels, hydra, phoenix, mermaids, cyclops, hybrids,..."
"there are a few you forgot about, like the siren, banshee, giants, grffons, satyr, nephillim, orcs, elves, leprechauns, ogre's, enchantando's, yeti, unicorn, gnomes, dwarfs. I could go on and on."
I gaped at him in surprise, there were a crap load of unknown creatures I havent heard about.
"but what does it have to do with me...."
"well your kinda gonna become one of them your eighteenth birthday. just so you know."
"wwhhhhhhaaaaaattttt, what? areyouforreal????? yougottobejoking. right? " I asked him, he just shook his head, no.
