Aron's POV.

Staring at the elder in front of me I knew that he was the one that killed Kolt. I saw it in the way he glared at us as we came through the vortex. He was the phoenix elder. I could sense the power he had and wondered for a moment why I didn't see him when I got introduced to the others. I wondered why he wanted to kill Kolt and realized that it was because of me. He was angry that I became king and he wanted the power back so he must've thought that in order to break me he had to kill Kolt. I held my head up high as I walked further into the clearing with Kolt behind me, glaring at the elder.

"Wipe that glare of your face before I so it for you?" I said and saw his eyes widen for a fraction before he glared again.

"How dare you?" He spat at me. I raised an eyebrow at him when we both noticed the other town's people gasped at him.

"I am the king of Evergreen and you are a murderer for you killed Kolt and if I didn't go back to the underworld to get him back I would have put you on trail for murder. In fact I night as well take you and put you on trail for attempted murder and then allow the people to decide your fate." I said and saw his eyes widen. He frowned at me and then looked around and saw the guards coming closer to get him. He started backing away as the continued to follow him and I was glad hat my people or at least the guards trusted me enough to take him into custody. They soon got him and took him to wherever they take prisoners. He struggled the whole time and when I felt Kolt coming to stand next to me I saw the Phoenix elder go stiff as his eyes widened in disbelief. After e was gone I turned to the people and smiled at them all and went to greet them one by one. Showing my respects towards them as I passed. I knew it would make them happy that their king is noticing them. I wandered through the village and saw that there was a few things that needed to improvements and I would get to it as soon as things settled down. I knew that I became king only today, or was it yesterday? But I wanted the people to get used to me first and to tell me all of their problems so that I  would be able to address it to improve their live and make Evergreen a better place for everyone. I could feel the power coursing throught my veins as I walked and to be honest I felt amazing. I knew Kolt said that I would be able to visit my family once I was king but I didn'think that they would recognize me when they saw me now. I looked much different than before as I looked at the small pond in front of my, seeing my reflection in the after. I was much larger than before and had muscles all over with a six pack and everything. My hair was still the same colour but it looked far healthier than before. My eyes were a bright green than seemed to spark with life and I knew that it was simply the power of the entire kingdom was flowing through me.

"Do you want to see your house?" Kolt said as he came closer. I looked at him and saw that he was shorter than me and frowned for a moment before I nodded.

"Yeah. I was wondering if I was going to be living with you forever." I said with a chuckle. He blushed lightly at the thought and I smirked for a moment.

"Come on." He said and walked away. I followed him and soon we were at a huge house or as I saw it a palace. It looked a lot like my old house and immediately I felt a sense of longing. I missed my old house and my parents but I knew I was better off here, protecting these people.

"Do I have so stay here?" I whined and saw Kolt look at me with a slight frown.

"Why?" He asked me as I looked it over.

"It reminds me of home and I got quite comfortable in your house so I was kinda hoping that I could have a small one. A house with a library of course so that I read whenever I am not busy with the kingdom." I said and felt a bit nervous  when he looked at me, those coal black eyes if his staring straight into my soul. He nodded at me and smiled lightly. I then watched him as he left to go and talk to the other people. Within seconds everyone was busy with something and I felt bad bad hat thy had gone through all the trouble of building me this luxurious house and now I said that I don't want it. I was going to have to thank them in some way and use this house for the something else. Like a community house where everyone can have parties or get together when it rain or something. After a couple of minutes I saw hat the house was built and with a sense of disbelief on my face I went inside. It was exactly like Kolt' house but it was also unique as well. I had a fireplace and a living room with my sleeping quarters hidden behind a wall. A kitchen was nestled in the one corner but my gaze went to the library that was against the whole wall. It was filled with books and as I read the names I saw that they were books that I haven't read yet. Some were the history of this kingdom and  I knew that I would be reading them as soon as possible. I looked around in wonder at the beauty of the house and smiled in thanks as I looked at everyone around me.

"Thank you all for this. I appreciate it greatly and I am amazed that you managed to pull it off." I said as I looked at them all. They all beamed at me in pride before leaving me alone with Kolt. I looked around again before resting my eyes on Kolt who was looking at me.

"You know when you told me about mates a few days ago? I was wondering if you had yours yet." I said and saw a sad smile grace his lips.

"I have been up on that cliff since I could remember and didn't have the time to find mine. So no, I don't have my mate yet. They say that you will be able to sense them once they turn twenty and I am twenty-two. So either my mate is not yet of age or I don't have one." He said and for a moment I felt a bit sad that he didn't have one and jealous that he had one.

"What are you going to do?"

"There's nothing that I can do except wait."

"And while you wait I want to offer you something." I said and saw his eyes lighten up a bit.

"What?"
