Mom pleaded guilty on all charges hoping for a lesser sentence. She was still sentenced to 35 years in isolation for her crimes. She would be 87 by the time she got out if she manages to live that long, but it seems that the spiteful hateful bitches always seem to live the longest.
In August of 2022 Wilder started preschool and the kid was sharp as a tack. His teacher actually suggested he be moved up into kindergarten as a 4 year old. He made so many friends and did fine as the youngest in his class.
Buck and I worked together to make the small trailer hold our growing family. Wilder and Phoenix kept their shared room, my old room turned into a nursery, and Buck and I moved into my parents old room where Griz tended to sleep at the foot of the king sized bed.
We mentioned even expanding the trailer to give each child their own room.
We sold the Jeep for 5,000 dollars and Buck's Tracker for 4,000 dollars to buy him a 1994 Chevy S10 for 3,000 dollars to use as a work truck and a 8 seater Toyota Sienna as a family car for 8,500 dollars.
With bills coming to around 2,211 dollars a month and me making 3,200 dollars on my own. I handled most of our finances and Buck shared the load of farm work. The two of us could keep up a nice comfortable life for our family and still put back money into the savings.
Griz's leg healed nicely and soon he was back in back yard chasing Wilder and Phoenix and going on hunts with me as much as I could being pregnant. He protected the farm and constantly laid his head on my belly. I loved that he had already bonded with my child while still in the womb.

On March 25th, 2023, I gave birth to not one but two identically chunky healthy baby boys with Buck's curly dirty blonde hair and my light blue eyes, Bo and Luke. Buck and I had joked in the past that if we every had twin boys we'd name them after the Duke boys, it was no longer a joke now.

Wilder and Phoenix started going to counseling to help them understand their parents death and what had happened with my mother. Wilder helped to take care of his younger brother the best he could and both loved their baby cousins that they called brothers.
