-ALL CASSIOPEIA EVER WANTED WAS TO MAKE HER MOTHER PROUD. Throughout her childhood, she heard stories of the beautiful woman who had created her. Her father, Grayson, was a kind man who loved his wife Maria with all of his being. Grayson learned to accept the fact that his wife had died, but over time he grew to resent the face of his daughter who only reminded him of his beloved.
Living in the hometown of Maria in France, Grayson became a well-known and wealthy scientist, solving secrets behind closed doors. To the people close to him, it was no secret that Grayson did cruel things at his work, as he had become bitter due to the tragic loss of his wife.
Cassie grew up doing anything she could to win back the love of her father, so when he made a scientific breakthrough, 16-year-old her was willing to help. Grayson made sure that NO ONE knew what was going on, even his colleagues.
After being injected with the venom of a spider, Cassie changed.
She developed spider-like powers that her father used for his own benefit. She was trained to become a skilled juvenile delinquent, using her powers to escape the authorities. Given a suit and missions from Grayson, Cassiopeia would swing herself through the streets of Paris, stealing and harming from those she was ordered to.
Eventually coming into the public eye and being known as The Widow, Cassie became a powerful weapon for her father.
Ultimately, her father was shot by one of the men that Cassiopeia was ordered to capture and died.
I know.
Tragic.
Quickly moving on with life, Cassie was sent to live with her mother's sister in New York. Although she was always homeschooled, Aunt Julie insisted that Cassie attended the Midtown school of science.
She didn't know it then, but that decision changed her life for the better.

The timeline of this might be off because I am hoping to add Peter and Cassie imagine like moments.
Gwen will be in the story, but Peter won't have any romantic interest in her.
