"Attention, all units in the confines of Precinct 13, receiving a 10-30... on West 19th Street and Broadway. Assailant is Caucasian male, mid-30s... 170 to 180 pounds... shoulder-length blond hair. Last seen on foot heading eastbound on 19th Street."

Peter and I sat up on the roof of the building we were waiting on. He still didn't have his suit, but at least we both had web-shooters to work with. We set our takeout down and pulled our masks on.

It is important to keep our identities a secret now more than ever, with Captain Stacy on our tails. Shoving the police scanner in his pocket, Peter ran towards the edge of the roof, with me following close behind.

Together, we swung towards a movie theater where the suspect was running and landed on the sign. I shot my webs on the man's back, pulling him to the ground so that Peter could check his arm for the star.

When we had no luck, we sprinted down the street to a nearby alleyway. Gasping for air, I turned to look at him, "You really need to learn how to get away with webs because I have NO stamina."

He laughed at me before grabbing my waist and swinging us to a nearby roof.

"I could have done that myself; you know?" I teased him.

He pulled off his mask, "Yeah, but it's so much better when I do it."

I blushed lightly and turned away. Our nightly escapades searching for the murderer had become a sort of game. One of us would make some remark about how we were the better spider-hero, and it would turn into a flirty battle.

I'm not complaining though.

Spending more time with each other than one could imagine, Peter and I became incredibly close. Between school and protecting the city, we always seemed to be near each other. Aunt May was one of my favorite people in this world, and she treated me like her own daughter.

Julie was a bit of a different story, always trying to push me and Peter to get together.

I've thought about it before.

Dating Peter Parker.

I've had boyfriends in France, but they never meant much to me and things always seemed to go wrong.

There is no part of me that is bold enough to make a move on Peter, so any hope we have of a relationship is relying on him.

The whole situation is odd because normally I am a very bold and confident person, but there is something about Peter and our friendship that makes me nervous about messing anything up.

The next day Peter and I were following a lead on another blonde man.

HOW MANY BLONDE LONG HAIR CRIMINALS COULD THERE BE.

Anyways, I was now dangling the man over the police precinct in an attempt to win a battle over who was the boldest.

"Cass! Are you an idiot?! We are trying to keep them AWAY from finding us," Peter facepalmed.
