My Kind of Love

Chapter 28: Bittersweet

"Ken doll!" I exclaim as I step into our private plane to see Kendall, Dylan, and Vanessa sitting already. 

"Lia!!" She jumps into my arms and I nearly fall before balancing myself on the back of my feet. 

"I've missed you so much, you cut your hair. Oh my gosh, why would you do that?" She exclaims and I start to laugh. 

"I got it trimmed and curled. I assure you the most I lost was an inch. Your hair has grown," I say running my fingers through her long ombré locks. 

"Do you like it?" She asks and I nod. 

"You look gorgeous, darling." I tell her in a posh accent and she hugs me tightly again. 

"Um, what about the rest of us?" Dylan questions from behind us and Kendall lets go of me. 

"Little brother," I say softly and I pull him into a warm hug. He was two inches taller than me and had way more muscles but he was still my little brother. 

"Don't tell anyone but you're my favorite guy, ever." I stage whisper to him and he chuckles. I couldn't even begin to comprehend why Dylan felt so much like home and nostalgia to me but I always got this huge warmth from his presence. 

"Oh, I'm definitely telling Jordy and Alex about this." He says and I punch him in the arm. 

"Look who's here," Jordan says walking in front of someone and stopping before. 

"Have you forgotten about me?" my best friend Lennon says popping up in front of me and I fall to the floor and everyone laughs as Lennon joins me. I wrap my arms tightly around her as we both laugh deliriously. 

"My baby is back," I hear her cry and my heart feels full. 

"I've missed you so much, love." I tell her as we pull back to look at each other. 

"I missed my sister way too much to stay away any longer; I hope you don't mind me intruding on your vacay with the fambam." She says and I shake my head quickly. 

"You're family too," I assure her and she smiles before I hug her again. 

"Vanessa get your behind down here too, I don't think I can stand yet. “ I joke and Vanessa slides out of her chair and falls unto me. 

"Hi Nessa," I hug her and Kendall joins us on the floor to take a picture. 

"I've got almost all of my girls with me right now; we're just missing Janey and moms." I blurt. 

"She means her and Alex's mothers really but all of ours are pretty awesome to her too." Kendall explains to some of the confused looks. 

"Let's get off of this uncomfortable floor now," Vanessa says and we all follow her lead. I grab Lennon's and pull her to the back corner double seats. I take the window seat much to her amusement, or lack thereof.
