Chapter 10: Introspect

"Someone, I wish I knew who...once said 'I think we like to complicate things when it is really quite simple; find what it is that makes you happy and who it is that makes you happy,and you're set.promise.' and for some reason it stuck with me for so many years...I think it's because I long for happiness and a life that's good. So much of my life I stressed having the courage to sing in front of my own family or auditioning for film because I lacked confidence. But when you take a step back and you look at it from a different perspective...who the hell cares about your lack of confidence or the fact that there's a million other girls longing to be Hollywood stars...I had to tell myself if singing and acting makes me happy then I had to do that shit. Do what makes you feel good, what makes you happy and screw the rest." I say sitting in front of a camera beside my cast mates. We decided to start the Q and A two hours after finishing our pizza.

"That's really great advice, Lia." Dylan says, resting his head on top of mines.

"I second that," Alexander says beside me.

"Lindsey Minden would like to know what your favorite color is Jordy," Kendall says to Jordan.

"We all have the same favorite color, or at least it's one of ours." Dylan says.

"Black," Jordan says simply and I smile.

"It's such a simple color and it never does you wrong, literally you can do no wrong in the color black." I say and everyone chuckles at me.

"Portia from San Fran says that this movie has been a good change for you, Alex...its brought a more relaxed version of you out. What do you think of that?" Dylan asks Alexander.

"I say that that is all true, this film is unlike any of the others I've been in and is completely different from the show I guest starred on simply due to the fact that I am surrounded by people my age. Not to put any of my former play mates down but this group is relaxed and more fun." he says and I high five with him.

"Dylan, what is it like to be friends with Amelia Hayes? She's so beautiful, Danica from Minnesota says." Alexander says reading from his phone. I feel Dylan's arm wrap around my shoulder as his cheek rubs against mines, I smile.

"Amelia is a like a breath of fresh air, she's literally the nicest and most positive girl I've ever met and she's really caring. She can also crack a joke or two from time to time." Dylan says and I ruffle his hair.

"Thanks honey," I say, bringing his face to mine and smiling into the screen.

"They're like that brother and sister pair that actually like each other, it's amusing to see them together." Kendall says and Dylan's chuckles.

"Amelia, what are your plans for after you finish shooting this film?" I read from my Twitter feed.

"I am going to take my little family on a vacation because it's been a while and on that vacation I will be social media free. I just want to be with them, present in the moment and I also want to read a few books." I say before we move along.

"Hayes!" I hear my Director say and I turn around to face him, smiling brightly.

"Good morning, Kadeldon. How was your flight?" I ask as we share a hug.

"Great, I got a much needed nap. Are you ready for your first day on set?" he asks when I feel two warms hands on my shoulders.

"She most definitely is," I hear Jordan say before doing the manly handshake thing with Kadeldon.

"Jordan and I went over our lines together last night," I tell him and he smiles.
