"Good morning!" My mother exclaims, bursting into my bedroom. I slowly sit up in my bed and rub my eyes.

"What time is it?" I ask.

"It is currently eight fifteen in the morning," she answers cheerily and I cover my ears, fallling back into bed.

"Too early, way too early. I'll see around noon," I tell her while pulling my pillow over my head.

"Amelia Hayes you wake up right now, your boyfriend is here." she says and I don't budge.

"Tell him I'll see him around noon, too." I answer muffled by my pillow.

"But then how will I take you out for breakfast?" I hear him ask and I groan.

"Easy, cook me some pancakes and eggs and we'll out back. You took me out for breakfast," I tell him sitting up and glaring at both of them.

"Well aren't you just a ball of sunshine?" mom says and I fight the urge to give her a snark reply. If I didn't have to work early in the a.m. I was not a morning person.

"And life is just rainbows and butterflies," I answer.

"I'll leave you two alone," she says backing out of the room. Alexander closes my door and runs towards my bed.

"Don't you dare," I warn him right before he jumps on my bed.

"Hi," he says sweetly and I smile at him.

"Hi," I respond and then I freeze.

"What's wrong?" he asks noticing my sudden mood change.

"I stink," I say quietly and he starts to laugh at me.

"Seriously, move so I can go shower and brush my teeth." I tell him trying to push him off of me.

"You do know that we've slept in the same and woke up together, right?" he asks and I nod.

"You're not going to talk to me until you shower and brush your teeth, are you?" he asks and I nod again.

"Go on then," he sighs, laying on his side and I smile at him.

"You're the best," I tell him before closing the door to my bathroom.

"I know," I hear him say. Twenty minutes later I am out the shower and I brush my teeth.
