My alarm sounded through my sleep, interrupting the dream that disappeared right as my eyes cracked open.
The sun was shining directly into my window so you could really see how dusty it was.
I sat up in my bed, holding a blanket over my naked body, as I pressed hard on my forehead, to lessen the strong headache that took over my thoughts.
I crawled out of the heavy duvets, and took a big white shirt, and a pair of black oversized shorts on.
I looked in the mirror and saw how puffy my eyes where.
Sometimes, when I wake up, I look like I just need a quick run of the brush through my hair before I'll be presentable.
Other times though, my hair will be totally disheveled to an embarrassing level, and my eyes will be puffy.
Like now.
Today was one of the mornings where my hair was a catastrophe, and my eyes just wouldn't stay open.I hadn't even cried?
I rolled my eyes at my reflection before opening my door, and walking on the wooden planks out into the bathroom, skipping breakfast today.
My hair was gathered in a messy braid leading down to the middle of my back.
My mascara was smeared under my eyes, and in this lightening, you could really see how oily my skin was, from the makeup that had been sitting all night.I slid my shorts down over my hips, so they dropped down on the cold tile floor while I lifted the big shirt off my body, avoiding to look at myself.
Then i took off my black panties, and followed into the bath.As the water hit my body I started to feel awake.
I smeared some of my conditioner out on my legs and under my arms and started shaving it, leaving a small cut on knee.
The steam filled the room, as I stepped out on the floor, the white towel hugging my body.
My phone started to hum under the clothes that I had thrown over it.
"What's up?" I answered when I saw Emma's name on the screen, putting my phone on speaker so I could hear her while I cleaned my skin.
"You have to come with us to the beach" she said, as I could literally hear her smile, under her words.
"You know I hate swimming" I replied as an excuse to not go.
"Yeah but we don't have to just swim"
I continued my routine and pretended not to hear her, but she never gave up that easily."Rosa come on. Please"
"Fine I'll go" I replied persuasively. "But then you must pick me up too"
"Yeah that was the plan" she laughed. "Be ready at 12"
After a long struggle over what I was going to wear, I finally putted on a pair of black long shorts and a white short t shirt.
I blow dried my hair so it was almost dry, and then gathered it all on top of my head in a big bun.
After that, I putted on sunscreen and started applying my everyday makeup. The silence in my room quickly disappeared when a loud knock sounded from behind me.
I turned and saw Emma standing on the ladder, outside my window, while the light breeze was blowing through her brown hair.I hurried over to her before she would lose her balance, and then rolled up my window so she could get inside.
"You and Travis left early last night huh" I teased standing in front of my mirror, struggling to put in my earrings.
