Some weeks went by and my mum and I started incorporating again to our normal routine, now without my sister, Kayla.
Months later, there was a supposition on who had been the murderer of my sister that last 15th may, the man in question, more or less in his 30s, with bear and mustache and had a big scar through his face and was more or less 6ft tall and strong complexion. The man was the type of man who could perfectly be a murderer for his looking and his deep voice, but, was he?
During the firsts months of investigation, the police took for granted that it was this man but there was another suspect, Ray Garret, a man who had been involved before on my family issues and who didn't really like my sister and on the top of this, he had been disappeared for now 2 months, he curiously left on may 17th and never was seen again around the area of Mississippi. The police thought maybe he could have had something to do with the murder but soon, they let go the suspicion.
October 21st. I will never forget that date. It was the date that the murderer under suspicion was confirmed to be so, and, as a consequence, he was condemned to 3 years of prison.
When I heard the news I was really vexed and couldn't stand that my sister was gone forever, and this man would be free and would continue with his normal life after 3 years, I would have killed him, but of course it was a madness, or was it not...
I guess I let it go and went to sleep very thoughtful as the news were released at 11pm, when I was just about to go to bed.
The next day I woke up at 10am, I overslept and I missed 2 of my classes in the morning so I decided I wouldn't go to university that day, also, I wasn't feeling really well about the murderer situation and I thought it was better to stay home for today.
At the afternoon i left the house to go grocery shopping with my mum and as we crossed the streets I noticed a man far away who happened to really look alike my sister's murderer, but of course, he couldn't be right? He was at prison paying for what he did.
I tried to convince myself on our way home that it was impossible that it was him, so, even though he did look a lot like him, he just couldn't be. But a voice inside me wouldn't  stop smothering me all day long.
Some hours later, at 7pm, I met a friend on a cafe and we were just hanging out, I was trying to forget what I had seen that same morning but my friend didn't know anything about it so she was just enjoying some pantries and juice. The cafe we were at was really cute and well located in the city, it was a very secure area and we were really calm but suddenly, a man broke in and pointed at us with a gun, everyone in the cafeteria started panicking and I had a gun with me so, even though it was so reckless, I shot at him. Some minutes later, I took out the hood out of his head to try and recognize the mysterious man. When I saw who he was I couldn't believe it, it was Jack Thompson, my sister's murderer. Yeah, the one who was supposed to be in prison. I guess he wasn't anymore, not only in prison but in life in general. He just stopped existing. But of course, he deserved that, he was the responsible for making my sister stop existing.
I then realized I had just completed my thought of killing Kayla's killer that I had some days before that. I never thought I would really do it, but I did...
Some minutes later, the bartender called the police and we escaped from there because I had killed that man so if the police found that out I would get into huge trouble. Me and my friend Lara headed home as fast as we could and; as we were the only ones in the cafeteria at the moment of the shot, apart from the bartender, who had been so scared of the man so she hid and didn't see anything, we were the only ones who knew the truth.
I was scared that my friend Lara would reveal the secret but it was a really good friend of mine so I trusted her.
Some days later, someone blackmailed me with revealing the truth about who killed Jack if i didn't pay 1.000.000$. I obviously wasn't wealthy enough to pay that debt and neither I could find any way to get that huge amount of money and my friend Lara knew it of course, that's why she blackmailed me with that quantity, because she knew I couldn't afford it so there was no other option but to let Lara reveal the truth to the police. Because of course it had been her who blackmailed me, it couldn't have been anyone else.
I had no way out of that fuss. I started thinking of ideas and solutions but nothing came to my mind. There was only one thing that could work, but obviously it was such a crazy idea that it was kind of impossible to accomplish... Moving out. It was the only way out. The only way to escape. I started thinking of destinations and I thought of my dream life in New York and how amazing would it be not only to be able to escape from that nightmare once and at all but to achieve my dream at the same time. I then told my mum the truth about Jack's murder and about the moving out and starting a new life situation and she agreed that it was the best option and that she would keep in touch with me.
I bought a one-way plane ticket to New York City for that same day and left without leaving any trace.
When I arrived I changed my name to Amanda Clark instead of that cursed name of Claire Wilson.
I became a new person, with a new life, new home, new name... everything was going perfect until I met Cameron and I fell in love with him.
