Stefani's POV
"Are you two ready?" I called out my bedroom.. I'm humbly pissed off yet pleased my companions are doing their best to be camera ready, but this is ridiculous.
"I- whew girl, you are a fine work of art," Rachel came out in a silk teal dress with her blonde hair neatly braided in a bun.
"Hey yourself," I smirked as I was looked at myself in the mirror adjusting my blue turtle neck.
I wasn't sure if the place was going to be cold but shit I don't anticipate on staying for the entire thing; my brown alligator snake heels were nice and pointed- a great look for a capitalist and the greatest asset to the future of our economy. Confidence is virtue.
I wasn't sure about my hair but this is a business and a family event so the braids are out and the curls are tamed after Rachel's god given touch with a curling iron and a pick.
"Sorry! I didn't know which dress I sh-"Hmm?" I hummed as I finished reading the volume in my hair and threw on my coat. My grey slacks really helped bring out the brown in my shoes and the melanin my genes carried. Just some tint on my lips and-
"You're staring," I arched a brow at Veronica as I took in every inch of white jumpsuit and beige heels.
She slightly blushed as she shrugged- considering we're all on our top game, can't blame her for being off guard with my compliments. The fine lie of reality and fantasy is taking place tonight..
I won't lie, Her outfit made her red lips pop and her strawberry blonde hair-
oh father, the future is feminine in my eye.
"You look like the girl that's going to meet my father," I chuckled and I grabbed my car keys.
Ugh.. the damn thing is green.
I forgot to consider one detail of me being incognito for the time being and it's what car I'm going to be seen in until January. Thanksgiving and Christmas were suppose to be the only public appearances I make.
"I cannot arrive there in this, it defeats my low profile because now the whole PR is going to be looking for me when they see this vehicle," I rolled my eyes.
"Girl, I didn't realize that until last week. My uncle knows the details, consider this a house warming gift," she tosses me a pair of keys as she opens my garage door...
