Unexpected to Expected (Ch.3)

"Your Parents? Divorce?" I say in a panicky tone.

"Yes," she mumbles softly staring at the ground.

I bring her in for a hug. Maggie was the type of person who was good at hiding things. She is also really good at keeping things from other people. This is why I am lucky to have her in my life. I can trust her and she can trust me. Our trust is the greatest power for the both of us as one together. Seeing Maggie like this hurts me. She is always usually so happy. The smile that she has on her face never wears off.

We release from the hug.

"How long have you known?" I ask her .

"Ever since this morning, this is actually why I also left your house early," she says softly with tears filling her eyes. Tears then start going down my eyes.

"Wow, I'm sorry this is happening, I know a sorry or a hug or anything else will not fix this , but just to let you know, I am here for you," I smile.

She nods and smiles back pulling me in for a hug. The hug lasts for about less than 3 mins. Hugs for each other is also our best medicine in almost curing any problem for us.

"There are so much problems, but we can get through them together" I say hoping it would cheer the both of us up . Especially Mags. Fortunately, it did .

"Yes, I know that, ugh crying is stupid," she says standing up and wiping her tears. I stand with her.

"No crying is not stupid , yea it is irritating and it is a crappy feeling, but tears can bring out the best of us, hopefully.. am I even making any sense right now?" I say smiling.

"No, you never do.. just kidding. love ya." She starts laughing, which makes me laugh as well.

I actually do not really make sense sometimes. I usually just say what is on my mind but in the best way.
We continue our laughs and cool down after a while.

"Hey wanna go explore the forest?" I randomly ask her.
I know it seems totally random and crazy but the forest is actually just near her home . And it is beautiful. It is the best place for us to just relax and enjoy. (of course laying on the grass staring at the stars is our top priority for relaxation)

"Sure, let me just get my jacket and of course my phone," she says chuckling.
She grabs her purple fluffy jacket and her phone.
We then leave her room and head for the door going outside.
As Maggie touches the knob her sister starts shouting.

"Mwaggie!Whewe yow gwoing?" she says as she runs grabbing Mags' leg not letting her leave.

"Crap, forgot about Susie," she whispers making sure Susie, her little sister did not hear it.

"We could bring her, right?" I ask.
There is not really anyone in their house. It just seemed like Maggie and Susie. Their parents are gone and there are no other adults I see around.
All of a sudden a car going in the driveway.
*Honk*Honk* 2 honks blare making us cover our ears. It then parks.

"Owwieee," Susie yells.

"Who is that?" I ask with curiousity.

"I am not sure," Mags replies keeping her eyes on the car. It was so fancy-like and shiny.
The car door opens revealing a man with a business suit. I guess it is her dad.

"Dad?" she says confused.

I was right it is her dad, but why is Mags so surprised?
He then starts walking towards us looking happy and jumpy.

"Maggie, what's wrong?" I ask her.

"He is not supposed to be here too early from work."

"Oh. That is strange, but why is he so happy."
She shrugs.

He runs up to Maggie and hugs her kissing her cheek.

"Maggie! Im so glad, I have some news!" He says cheerfully.

"What is it?"

"Your mother and I will not be getting a divorce, but we will be moving, so get your bags packed, we are going to Hawaii!" He says while carrying Susie heading into the house.

"I cannot believe I'm moving," Maggie says with tears breaking.

"I cant believe it either," I say with tears falling to the ground.

"I am so sorry, I need to do this Harmony," she says hugging me tightly.

"It is ok, I understand, I want your family to be happy. I want you to be happy." I smile and release from the hug.

This is so unexpected. Am I dreaming? I cannot believe this. But if this will make Mags happy then I am happy too. I found out her flight leaves tonight. So I want to spend every last moment with her for every last second I have with her until she must go. We decide to go into the forest.

"Dad, I am gonna hang with Harmony in the forest!," she yells making sure her dad heard.

"Ok! Not too long! " He yells back.

We then make our journey to the forest following the trails of candy we left the last time.
