Ch.10: Visitations.

As soon as we went through the hospital door we went straight to the front desk.

"Susie Hargridge?" Mags asked the nurse. She seemed really kind and pretty young. I could tell Leo thought as well. He could not stop drooling over her. She was also really pretty. Her blonde hair with streaks of brown matched with her skin tone. She was tan but with a touch of ivory. From the corner of my eye I could see Leo so attracted but he stopped staring once I nudged him. Yup. That's right. The way I see it. You should only have one girl. and that's Mags. I smiled in victory.

The nurse started typing in her name. I could see Mags tapping her foot and shaking her legs while waiting. She was pretty nervous. Leo noticed as well as he hugged her . I rubbed her back hoping she would be calm.

"It's alright Mags. I know she will be fine," I say smiling.

She nodded and smiled back. Her emerald eyes pierced through my caramel eyes with fear yet comfort.

"She your sister?" The nurse asked Mags.

Maggie nodded.

The nurse smiled and nodded back.
"You have nothing to worry about, because she is just fine." I could tell she could notice how worried Mags was.

"I will take you to her. I believe your mother is with her as well," she says with a soft smile.

Mags smiled. "Yes, please nurse,"

"Alright, Shelly, please take over," the nurse said exiting the front desk as another nurse took her spot.

"Follow me," the nurse says as she walks along the hallways looking for the room Susie was in.

After about a minute we finally arrived.
"Alright here we are," the nurse says turning the knob.

"Thank you nurse," Mags says sitting on the chair next to her mother.

"Please, call me Naya," She says with a wink as she closed the door.

Mags hugged her mother and held Susie's hand.

She was just laying on the bed. The monitor was beeping at her heart rate. Not too fast or slow. It was just right.

What could have caused this?

I decide to grab a seat near Mags while Leo decides to grab a drink for us.

I flutter my eyes open and feel my head laying on Mags shoulder. I glance over at Leo who is knocked on the couch near the door. I check to see if Mags's mother was still here. She wasn't. There was a note placed on Maggie's arm. I guess it's from her mom.

I notice a clock above him and see that it is 7:00 am.

I sit up and stretch my arms.

I hear a voice groan. It was Mags. I guess I woke her.

I look at her as she gazes back at her sister. Their hands still holding on.

"Hey Mags, " I decide to break the silence.

"Hey," she says quietly.

She feels the note on her shoulder and grabs it. As she opens it an emotionless Mags mutters.

"Just Perfect," She says handing the note over to me with a sarcastic tone in her voice.

Went to work. I have a business trip over at Alaska. I don't know how long I'm gonna be gone but I left some
money in your bank account just in case. Take care and hug Susie for me.
