Starry Night (Ch.1)

"It is so amazing," I say aloud referring to the starry night sky.
"Told you Har, " Maggie says smiling.

I roll my eyes and poke her. She then starts to giggle and tickle me.
We like laying on the grass and staring the sky at night. It calms us. Maggie and I have been best friends since we were 5. We are glad to have found each other.

"Hey Mags?"

"Yea Har?"

"Dont you just feel like laying here forever?"

"Yea kind of. It's better than school," I mumble.

"I feel ya girl," she replies as we high five each other with agreement.

School is okay. It's just the environment in it. Of course every school has different groups. There are the jocks, the nerds, the punks, and many more. Well of course, there are also the 'The Pops' (AKA: Popular girl "Bullies") Their bully sides are hidden. They act all kind to the teachers and the adults and the other cool kids, but when it comes to the others, such as we are invisible to them.

"I don't wanna be invisible anymore.. I just wanna be invincible," I say out of nowhere.

"If only...." Mags sighs.

We just stay laying on the grass staring at the stars.

I take out my phone and notice the time.

"Crap! It's almost 3 in the morning!" I exclaim sitting up.
"Let's go in Mags,My Papa and Nonna said you could sleep here." I say standing up and wiping the debris of dirt and grass on my back and shorts.

"Gotcha," Maggie stands up yawning.

We walk towards my house.

My parents have not been around lately. My mom passed away of cancer when I was 11, and my dad had an accident. So, now I live with my grandparents. They are so kind and cool. I do miss my parents but I dont let it bother me.

As we open the door, the lights are all off and it is quiet. We make our way quietly. We both go in my room and set up the beds. I lay down on my bed and Mags lays on hers.

"Goodnight Mags," I say softly while closing my eyes.
"G'night," Mags says while yawning.
