okayyy... so someone might have just had their first kiss. but i couldnt help but only think about the future.

when highschool is over, and hes married with two children and a beautiful model wife.

while im washing dishes at some janky old bar.

nothing lasts forever, when it comes to vinnie.

i mean, am i wasting my time? what if he decides to go back with isa? leaving me to look foolish. anyway..

he is supposed to pick me up for this ballroom thingy.

probably to "get to know me" and break me down. trying to figure me out. just to fuck me over.

maybe i just have trust issues. 

its around the time for the dance or whatever at the hancock building, though im a bit nervous i cant help but be excited.

this is the first time anyone has ever asked me out to anything *not counting hub by the way*

i put on a sage green dress, its satin and has a slit down the leg, its long and slick and im nervous wearing it.

and as im basking in my insecurities, i get a text message from vinnie.

i exit my house locking the door, fuck it. i have nothing to lose, nothing to gain. im going all in.

that confidence that i gained in school was the same confidence i wanted to have all the time. it didnt matter if i was with him or not.

i wanted adventure, or so i thought.

lifting my dress up i walk to his slick black car, very federal appearing sports car, revealing a well dressed vinnie.

"hi" i say smiling. still a bit sheepishly. i said i wanted to be confident that doesnt include being mean.

"hi, you look stunning." he says a bit straight faced at first but then he smiles making the tension in my body release.

and for the first time the danger i occasionally saw in his eyes made me feel welcomed not afraid. curious, not cautious.

we get into his car, me in the passenger side, him obviously driving. "listen here, last time i went on a date with a guy he totally fucked me over, so dont be that guy, no one likes that guy" i say making light of my prior boy "drama".

"man that guy must've sucked, i wonder who he is" he says going along with the joke.

"yea well he did suck, he sucked his girlfriends pussy the same night" i say even shocked by my own words.

he gives me a side eye, letting out a little laugh. i sigh and laugh too, turning to look out the window.
