After one week of fighting our way through the 'Land of Darkness', as the woman whose name apparently was Summer said it was called, we arrived at the border with the Kingdom of Atlas.
"Are you sure we can stop here?" Summer was still limping, but, using Killer Queen as a crutch of sorts, smiled. "Don't worry, Kira! I know the person in charge! He's rude at times, but he's a very responsible person."
"If you say so. Can you walk?"
"It's been a week. My ankle's still sore, but I'll manage...I'm not that old!" Summer, for some reason, pouts.
"Woman...never mind." Killer Queen disappears as Summer tries to walk and flashes a thumbs up to the boy, crossing the 'border' into Mantle. She seemed quite happy, even whistling while skipping through the city's tidy paths.
"Why are you so happy?"
"I'm happy because I am alive! You know, you remind me of my dear daughters."
"Do I? How?"
"You were brave, and despite your fear you pushed through and saved me."
The boy rolled his eyes. "We saved each other. You would have died without me, and I would have died without you. That's how it is, and besides..."
"Besides what?"
"No, nothing."
"Oh, we're here!"
Summer rushed to a building and slammed the door open. "Owie." The boy loudly sighed, "I told you you have to take it easy."
The chaos at the door alerted a man to go check at the entrance, and his facial features relaxed in recognizing Summer. "Summer Rose?! You're back!"
"Heyyy James! Yes, I'm back! How are you doing? Have I caught you at a bad time?"
