“Yo Cedes, yo Cedes, yo Cedes, yo Cedes, yo Cedes, yo Cedes, yo Cedes, yo Cedes, y-” I smack Cade up-aside the head with my textbook and Cade immediately shuts up. “well that was harsh,” Cade complains seconds after. I roll my eyes and get back to my homework that’s due tomorrow on Monday. “Cedes!” Cade whines.
“Oh my God, Cade, shut up,” I demand.
“Oh my God, Cade, shut up,” Cade mocks in a high pitched voice. I roll my eyes and then there’s a knock on my door and Emery opens the door.
“Hey Cedes your mom wants to see you in the living room,” Emery tells. I pick my homework binder off my lap and walk out of my room.
“Yeah mom?!” I call out as I descend from the stairs.
“Want me to order pizza today? The game’s on in an hour and the guys will be here shortly.” my eyes widen the big Lacrosse game is on tonight! How could I forget?!
“Yeah um you know the usual, yeah?” I question.
“5 orders of mozzarella sticks, 4 orders of onion rings, 5 orders of French fires, 2 large pineapple, 1 large bacon, 4 large cheese, and 1 small vegetarian.”
“You go mom!” I holler as I walk back up the stairs and into my room where Emery and Cade are having a discussion about cars. I look out my window to see Noah pulling in the driveway with Ross, Chance, and Matt in the car as well. “the rest of the crew is here,” I tell Cade and Emery. They nod and then Emery starts leaving.
“I’ll be in my room if you guys need me!” Emery yells and I lift an eyebrow at Cade.
“Why doesn’t he just watch the game with us?” I ask
“Why don’t you just ask?” I roll my eyes at Cade’s sarcasm reply and walk out of my room and knock on Emery’s closed door.
“Come in!” Emery hollers.
I open his door and lean against the doorframe. “You know you’re welcome to watch the lacrosse with us in the game room,” Emery nods as he turns on his TV. “well the game is on in an hour if you want to go in,” Emery just nods, again. “alright whatever,” I mutter then close his door and walk in the game room where everyone is.
“Mama E just got pizza!” Ross yells as he puts on the xbox. I roll my eyes and sit on the bed next to Chance.
“Emery not watching it?” I shake my head. “why?”
“I don’t know, Chance, I really don’t.”

“You’re a really good cheerleader.”
“You were suppose to get a ride home from Cade,” I snap as I walk over to my car.
Emery shrugs and gets in the passenger side. “I had stay after school and I knew you had cheer after school so I just stayed,” Emery explains. I roll my eyes and start driving home.
“Yeah? Well just walk home next time.”
“Why don’t you let anyone watch you doing cheer?” Emery questions.
“Because I don’t, well the guys at least.”
“There has to be an exact reason why, it just cant be because,” Emery defends.
“And you care so much because….”
“You’re good,” he states.
“Yeah, well.”
