PETER PARKER

It was nearing dusk, the sun was setting into a fiery display of oranges, blues and pinks. The sun danced a gentle step with the breeze that tickled the hair on my head.

My back was pressed against a blanket, although it was fuzzy it was thin and I could still feel the cool roughness of the concrete beneath it. My feet tapped against a chimney creating a soothing repetitive tap sound, my right hand was lax against the ground above my head while my left rested on my stomach, idles fiddling with the outline of my tube.

My eyes blinked slowly up at the sky, stinging slightly due to tiredness. Wade was muttering something to the world a few feet away while kicking something small, causing a light scraping sound to be thrown across the ground.

This continued for a while before wade stopped pacing Slowly, light footsteps appeared came towards me and a warm body lay against my side, my arm that was laying around my head came down to rest on his shoulder and a pair of lips kissed my cheek.

It was silent again.

Although not for long, a flick of a lighter and a fizz filled the air, the smell of cheap tobacco filled the air.

I sighed. " You really should quit. " I say turning my head to him. He rolled his eyes and blew the smoke into my face, which made me scrunch up my face and cough. "I already had cancer, it made me immortal, what more can it do?" He says.

"Mess with your meds," I reply, looking him in the eyes.

"Meds are for losers who won't accept that they're fucked." He snaps turning back to face the sky.

"Wade!" I exclaim, slightly hurt.
"What? It's true... For people like me at least." He gained a vacant look in his eyes. "I told you!" I stat looking at him. "We're getting out of this! Together!"  He gave me a look which I didn't like if I knew that he wasn't smitten for me, I'd think he'd be about to hurt me.
