Peter Parker ( WARNING SLIGHT MENTION OF SUICIDE/ HINTS?)

It was near 12 when I and Wade arrived back at the hospital. Our sprites were high as we walked hand in hand through the door with the occasional peck on the temple courtesy of my boyfriend.

As we buzzed through the door Michael was standing by the front desks with his arms crossed along his chest. He was stood straight and his foot was tapping restlessly.

His face held anger but his eyes had a clear backdrop of distress. His brow had creased in disguised worry and his lip curled sideways.

Wade and I sherd a look.

"What time do you call this?" He demanded seemingly growing tenser by each word.

"Uhh, five to twelve?" Wade tried looking at his watch. Michael glare only grew colder.

"You are Fifty-five minutes Late" he shouted. We both stood there in silence.

"It's only Fi-" Wade started.

"No no no don't give me that. It takes sixty seconds for you to drown, five minutes for you suffocate, minutes for you to overdoes and seconds for you to jump. .... It's not just fifty-five minutes late. ... It's four minutes late... Or... Or two."

All three off us held the eyes of each other.

It was silent for a while, the tension so thick I'm sure it could be scooped out like ice cream.

Until

Michael took a shattered breath "fuck I thought I lost you too." He turned and lent face-first onto the desk using his hands to support.

"I can't lose you two. Not anyone... Especially not on this day." My eyes immediately flickered over to the calendar.

2nd of the 2nd.

Oh yeah... I forgot.. His kid. 6 years now. They would have been eighteen this year.

Wade threw me a confused look which I returned with a guilty one. "His kid." I mouthed and his eyes shot over to where mine once where.

His face then too, morphed into a guilt-ridden one.

He was two minutes late for his own child.

God your so stupid!

Ragged breaths brought our attention back onto the man in front of us.

He was crying.

I was moving before I could think and before I knew it my arms had wrapped tightly around Michael trapping him in a tight embrace. My nose buried itself into his shoulder as I felt his shaky breaths.

"I can't lose you... Either of you!" He gasped out.

"And you won't," Wade said joining the hug so he sandwiched Michael in the middle of us two.

" I promise!" I stated.

Michael took some deep breaths before pulling out of the embrace. "You two go get washed up. It's time for bed. We all need our sleep." He said while whipping his eyes.

I and Wade silently agreed and said goodnight as we made our way to our rooms.

Michael Johnson

As I gathered myself while watching the two boys head to their rooms I look towards the doors. It was a cooler night to what it had been and previous nights.
