The sweet chirping of the birds indicated that the sun had risen up, the sweet rays of the sun kissing every petal of the dandelions, making them shine bright. The sweet sun rays made its way through the farms, waking up every single creature who were once devoured in deep sweet slumber. The farmers began feeding the hungry animals giving them lovely pats. The women folk of the place, waking up before their husbands, fetching water from the wells and preparing food, while the young boys ran around the fields. The young girls, either helping their mother or were busy in collecting the beautiful flowers as to make little flower crowns for the day.

This was the Durian kingdom, which was ruled by the powerful Durian dynasty. The dynasty which was prominent as it was ruled by 4 sisters, the eldest one entitled as the queen.

The subjects of the kingdom loved their queen as well as the princesses, so much they wouldn't even hesitate if the queen asked them to give their heads for sacrifice. So much was their love and so much was their trust.

The original king, the man who made this land, was dead nearly 20 years ago, when the princess was only 8 years old, she succeeded her father, becoming the youngest queen, as her mother died nearly after a few months of her father. She was mature enough to understand about her 3 little sisters, and was also capable of handling everything.

It's not that nobody questioned her instincts, of course they did, but the young girl held strong. She was the only person who'd love her sisters like her mother, provide for them like a father and rule the kingdom like a ruler. It was her desire to become a queen but she never knew that her desire will soon turn in a very heavy need.

She won the hearts of the people of the kingdom, fought wars and trained her sisters. The second eldest being equally capable, they soon expanded their kingdom and thus the Durian kingdom prevailed.

But, every coin has two sides and every rose has thorns in it. The happier and calm something looks from outside, the more secrets are dug inside. The Durian kingdom was no different.

"Attention everyone, there is Queen Alda" Alda appears infront of her subjects waving her hand at them smiling while the other two girls are standing at the back. This was more of a daily ritual, greeting her subjects and wishing them a bright morning ahead. Alda believed that it was very important to make time for the people they rule. She believed that they were the ones for whom this kingdom is alive in other words, they're the real lifeline.

As usual, the third oldest princess, Lovisa is absent, "God knows where she stays half of the time" the second oldest, Revena mumbled under her breath.  After the greeting, Alda went inside for a meeting to be held with some kings and ministers of the nearby territories about trade and army.

Princess Noa was bored listening to all the boring conversations about trade. Just then, the door of the great hall burst open and there came Lovisa, all wet from head to toe. "LOVISA!!!" Noa screamed driving the whole attention to Lovisa. Before Alda could even speak, Princess Revena questioned "Where exactly have you been from the early morning!?"  Before Lovisa could even answer, Revena continued "All wet from head to toe... Have you been fighting with someone again? or you fell somewhere?" Lovisa hung her head low when she was bombarded with questions.

Seeing the situation, Alda called off the meeting.

Alda spoke, "It's okay princess Revena, behave yourself firstly, don't forget had guests here, and Lov, go get changed, I've to discuss something important with you all." Revena again made her usual face of annoyance.  Noa squealed in laughter when she heard about how Lovisa drowned in the river.

"Shut up girl, there is nothing to laugh about" Lovisa responded. ''There is, how could a person literally just push you and  you didn't end up beating him head to toe?? ''When I turned back, he was gone" Lovisa said. Just when she finished her sentence, Revena entered the room, "So you were pushed by a person were you? Do you even realize you are from the Darian family? I mean not wholly but still you are. You make us feel embarrassed everyday,  I mean you look no better than a house maid, why dress so poorly? Do you want to show people that sister doesn't treat you right? Do you want to bring the name of the kingdom down just like-" She halted midway when princess Noa said, "You can't talk to her like that" "Oh, Noa don't you know that you shouldn't interrupt when 2 people are talking?"  Revena commented. "Well, in this case, it was only you who was blabbering"  Noa fired back defending her favourite sister.

"I am sorry, I'll take care of it from the next time" Lovisa mumbled loud enough for both of them to hear it. Revena sighed knowing this conversation will lead to nothing more and left the room while Noa laughed.

"She's no fun" she commented breaking the ice.

"We have a party this evening for the new trading success, therefore I want everything to be properly arranged and there shouldn't be any problem. Am I clear?" Revena ordered the servants sternly while they nodded together.

All of them bowed including Revena when Alda entered the room.

"You all can leave" she ordered them and the servants left the place.

"Revena, I just got the information about aunt and uncle visiting today, they'll be here tonight" Alda whispered.

The mention of those 2 people made Revena's stomach twist. Their uncle Sam and aunt Gregoria, were the people who wanted to take over the throne after their father's death, but couldn't. Despite the fact that they showed sympathy when they died, one could easily make out that there was rather a smirk of victory on their faces.

"Revena?" Alda spoke out when Revena was deep in her thoughts.

"I know how you are feeling, but we'd have to handle it okay? Ask Quinn to arrange everything for them and don't stress much." Alda spoke caressing her back.

Quinn, who was the servant of this palace, who has been guarding it since it's establishment was the person who had been a father figure to them always.

Revena hugged her sister. Alda might be the queen but at the end of the day, she was an older sister who her younger sisters.

Alda kissed her forehead, "It's okay Rev, if anything happens, I'll be here always."
