CHAPTER 23{GRATEFUL}

Aiden bowed and left the courtroom and along with some gaurds went out in search of Lovisa.

AT THE PALACE-

The thought of meeting Lovisa was the thing that kept Alda alive and the thought of Noa's health being better kept Revena alive.

Revena- How's she now?

Caretaker- I am so glad to say that, her health is getting better. If we take care of her more she would recover and come back to her senses very quickly.

Revena- I am so grateful to you.

Caretaker- You don't have to be grateful to me dear, you should be grateful to prince Connoly and also to her cause she has the will to live.

Revena nodded at the old woman's words.

Connoly entered the room and a maid accidently bumped him, "I-I am so s-sorry prince, it was an accident, I didn't mean to do it on purpose" she said as she bowed infront of him.

"Its completely alright, I am not Eldrick, I won't bite you." he replied.

"Prince, her health is getting better , now I have full confidence that she would recover soon." the caretaker said.

"Well, that's very good then." he replied.

The caretaker was about to leave, but before she looked at Revena and said, " Take care of your sister but at the same time, do care for yourself too."

Revena slightly smiled and nodded at her and she, along with the maids left the room.

Connoly went besides Noa's bed and patted her head. " Its a little different seeing you lying like this, all silent as you have always been the most cheerful and lively one since I got here." he said.

Revena cleared her throat and started,"Connoly?"

Connoly looked up at her...

"I don't know, how to say this, but, I am so grateful to you, you did so much for my sister so-" she said.

"So?" he repeated.

Revena took a deep breath and said,"T-Thank Y-You."

Connoly got up and said, " Sorry,come again?"

"Thank you" she repeated.

"I guess my ears are ringing, can you repeat it?" he asked.

"THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!" she shouted this time making him flinch at her voice.

"More like you now." he said.

LOVISA'S POV-

Miss Catheline has caught cold. I told her to take care of herself but she would never listen to me... I will have to go to the forest to bring some herbs for her but she won't let me to go alone. After thousands of explanations, finally she was convinced to let me go..

Now I am here in the forest picking the herbs which I will require to treat her. When I was young and had cold, Alda would ask the servents to bring these herbs, so I know which ones are they..

Out of sudden, I heard some common sound coming from the other side. Within a few seconds, I came to know that this is the sound of running horses.

Eldrick's words flashed across my mind, he said if his men would find me , they would kill me...

Oh no, I will have to hide somewhere before they find me.

I hid behind a huge rock, so that they won't find me, I guess, they would seperate themselves in different ways to search.

I heard a horse coming nearer towards me and my heart skipped a beat.

I tried to look from behind the rock, and saw a person sitting on it, his head turned towards other side...

He must be Eldrick's men...Suddenly, he turned his head, giving me a clear vision of his face and it was A-Aiden...

I was so happy seeing him after a long time but wait, he is still one of Eldrick's man... Should I trust him???

I don't think I should.

Ugh, what should I do??
