The people of the kingdom were either busy with their farmlands or were pleading in front of the revenue collectors. Whatever the situation was, it was indeed a pleasant day in the palace. The king along with the ministers were busy in deciding the date for the auspicious event to take place and also about inviting the nearby monarchies.
The maids along with their Queen were busy in selecting rings and dresses and suits for the wedding.
"What do you think about this, your majesty?" the jeweler spoke while showing a ring made of pure diamond.
"This is beautiful, it'll suit so well with my Eldrick. My little boy is so grown up." Gregoria spoke while the maids giggled. She glared at them.
"I want the finest rings for my kids. Is that clear?" she spoke sternly while the jeweler nodded. She again continued, "And for the suits, I want the best too."
"And about the dresses?" one of the maids ask.
"I bought them rings, I think they could buy the dresses themselves." Gregoria spoke almost bitterly.
"Alright, I'll buy my own dress, but could you please promise me, my dear mother-in-law that it won't bother you whatever I wear?" Revena spoke while teasing her.
Gregoria's mind flew to what would happen if this rebellious girl wore something very ill- suited for the wedding. It would ruin her son Conolly's image.
"F- Forget whatever I said, I'll buy the dresses myself and you'll wear that." she left after saying those words.
Revena chuckled at that.
"You shouldn't have done that." Alda scolded her when she told the story too exitedly.
"Why? I don't wanna waste a single penny buying some lavish white dresses. It'd be of no use. Either, that money could be used for our farmers benefit." Revena spoke.
"Miss, did you just forgot that our kingdom is a part of theirs?" Alda replied her.
"Whatever, our people are still our people and I'd die for them." she spoke out while her chest was swollen in pride.
"Alright mam, I get it." Alda spoke while bowing to her.
Both of the girls started laughing in unison.
Lovisa was wandering around the garden with Noa collecting flowers.
"Ughhhh! This is boringgggg." Lovisa spoke while dramatically stretching the words.
"Oh hush now, you were the one who wanted to make flower crowns." Noa spoke out.
"Cause I didn't know that we need to choose the flowers so carefully, we are like doing this for an hour now." Lovisa replied.
"It's because, we need beautiful shining ones." Noa spoke.
"I-" just as Lovisa was about to revolt, they saw soldiers on horses coming towards them. 2 of them halted as they realized they were Aiden and Eason.
Noa waved excitedly as soon as she saw Eason while he smiled ever so lovingly at her while, Aiden and Lovisa shook their heads.
Both of the boys, dismounted and went towards them.
Eason kissed Noa's hands while he spoke, "What are you doing here princess?"
She replied while blushing, "Collecting flowers for making flower crowns!"
"Flower Crowns?" both Aiden and Eason spoke together.
Seeing Noa not able to answer, Lovisa broke the ice.
"In our place, Noa used to make flower crowns every Wednesday and would gift them to the little girls around the kingdom. All of them, loved it as Noa's flower crowns are the prettiest you could ever find." Lovisa spoke out.
Aiden and Eason shared a few glances.
"I'm sorry but, I don't think mom and dad would like the idea of giving flower crowns to the people." Eason spoke ever so gently while his hand still held hers.
"Why?" Noa spoke, her tone sounding really saddened.
"Cause, they don't want to share these." Eason spoke smiling.
Even though every person in that garden including Noa know how the Carplett King and Queen were, the way Eason tried to hide it, so that it doesn't hurt her, made her heart melt.
"Even I don't want to share them, can I keep them after you finish making them?" Eason asked while squeezing her hand to which Noa nodded.
"Thank you, my princess, I've some work to do, I'll talk to you later." Eason said.
"I hope you have a great day." Noa spoke to which he returned a sweet smile.
"You too." he said.
Aiden glanced at Lovisa while she smiled in a mocking way.
"I hope you die soon." she said while shaking his hands.
"You too." he replied with the same mocking smile while vigorously shaking her hands.
