The sound of the ball hitting the shining wood was exhilarating. Y/N sat next to the score board waiting for her turn on the court.

Watching them play was like watching professionals. You could tell that they were taking this seriously just by feeling the Aura emitting from them.

*Bam*

Hinata had hit another one of his impressive quick attacks.

"Way to go Hinata!!" Y/N yelled from the sidelines.

"Thanks" he flashed her his toothy grin before rotating to the back row.

'Now that's 8 points for Hinata's team and 10 for Kenma's'

The mock match went on for another 10 minutes before Kenma's team emerged victorious.

They all looked so prideful and happy but Y/N however looked quite... Disturbing.

"Y/N you okay there?" Bokuto snapped Y/N out of her thoughts.

"Oh yeah, sorry about that." She said while turning to face the others.

"It's just been awhile since I've seen a game close up"

"Close up, Does that mean that you've played before" Lev asked.

"No, I was a manager for a small volleyball team back in high school" she told them.

"Really?!" Hinata asked to which Y) N nodded in response.

"It became a habit that I'd study their moves and try them on my own" she said while rubbing the back of her palm.

"Is that why you looked so... Intense" Kenma asked before taking another sip of water .

"Yup, you guys were great" she complimented.

"Oh Y/N that reminds me, your playing the next game" Kuroo told her before walking away.

"What?!"

"What about the score?" She asked him.

"Leave that to Lev"

"WHY ME?!".

"because I said so."

"Who knew that being on the court would be so intense" she whispered to Kenma.

"Yeah, these guys just don't let up. The game is starting again" he said, signalling everyone to get in their positions.

The sound of the whistle bounced off the gym's walls as Hinata's team made the first serve.

'Is it gonna be a jump float? Maybe a normal serve?'

Before Y/N could make a decision the ball zoomed pass her face.

"What was that?!"
"The ball" Kenma replied.

She turned to make sure.

'It left a dent in the floor??'

"Don't worry Y/N, all we gotta do is make sure the ball doesn't hit the floor" Kuroo reassured her.

"Ok I'll try next time"

She got back into position and waited for the next serve.

'It won't get passed me this time'

Bend.Hold.And Jump

Y/N repeated in her mind.

She bent her knees slightly and held the position, when she saw the ball fly through the air she jumped. She Slightly curved her hands and waited for the ball to hit the desired spot.

BAM

The ball broke through her hand barrier and plumited to the floor.

"DAICHI" she alerted her fellow teamate.

"I GOT IT" he said as he bounced the ball back up into the air.

Y/N took a few steps back, preparing for the possible quick attack.

When Kenma got into position Y/N ran up with as much momentum and jumped.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, waiting for the ball to connect with her hand.

"Now" she whispered to herself as her hand connected to the ball.

The loud sound of the ball slamming onto the wood reached her ears as she planted her feet back onto the floor.

"Nice one N/N" Suga yelled from the bench.

"Thanks but for what" she asked with a expression puzzled.

"You didn't notice" Kenma asked her to which she shook her head in response.

"You hit the ball" he pointed to the ball that layed out of bounds.

"Wait that was me, AWESOME" She pumped her fists in the air before rotating the back.

After awhile of playing the score went up to 12 to 9.

"Cmon don't tell me that you guys are tired now" Kuroo taunted from his side of the court.

"Aging really did a number on you guys" Kenma commented before serving a jump float.

"No, We're just getting started" Tanaka responded as he watch the ball float through the air.

"Noya get that one" he told him.

"On it" he slid across the court.

Yu slightly turned himself to face the ace and pushed the ball toward him.

"This my time to shine" the owl said before jumping up and hitting the ball with just enough pressure.

"Y/N" Kuroo signalled to her.

"Yeah I know" they both jumped up and blocked the ball but their time it hit their opponents side of the court.

"THAT'S IT" Kuroo said energetically.

"Hey, I think I'm getting tired" she tugged on his shirt.

"Then we'll have to let you bench for this round" he told her.

"I'm fine with that" she said while walking off the court.

"Kageyama, Lev can you switch with
Y/N and Kenma?" The rooster asked them.

"Wait why am I being switched out" Kenma asked.

"Because your girlfriend is waiting for you" he pointed towards Y/N who sat on the bench eyeing Kozume.

"Fine" he said as he walked off the court with an intense blush.

"We'll if your exchanging players can we add one to" Hinata asked Kuroo.

"Sure"

"Suga and Tsuki, come play with us" Noya said, jumping up and down over Hinata's shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm getting there. " he said while entering the court.

"Don't call me that tangerine" Tsuki said walking in behind Suga.
