It was dark outside

It was dark outside. The grey clouds were hiding today which kinda makes me sad. Driving when it's dark-ish and rainy is calming.

I'm currently driving to the school at five o'clock in the morning.

Driving with this type of pain was unbearable but I had no choice but to leave home. Dad is on his vacation for two weeks.

He's been ignoring me and taking out his frustrations on mom instead.

But I just know if I stay home with him while mom is at work, he will make sure that I don't go untouched by the time the sun sets.

Yesterday wasn't so bad. Mainly because I took more pills than the required amount. So I stayed stationary in bed. My bones felt weak and my senses were numb.
I couldn't bring myself to eat, sleep or even shower. But obviously I showered this morning, brushed my teeth, etcetera.

Arriving at school, only about five cars are in the parking lot and that's most likely the staff.

I park at the back where no one would see me, except for the junkies who pass behind here to smoke.

Like Axel.

He just had to ruin an almost good thing.

We could've been real good friends who casually eye fuck each other.

Stop it.

Thank you subconscious.

"Matteo can we go already? Leave her here." I hear a voice voice plead.

"No!" I hear two voices shout together.

"I wasn't fucking talking to y-"

For fucks sake.

"Wake up, Sugar!!!" I hear the feminine voice shout. The voice is muffled because my windows are rolled up.

I put on my big girl pants, lift my head off the steering wheel and look outside the window where Matteo, Jordyn and Axel are.

I knew I should've tinted these windows.

Slowly rolling it down, I smile at Jordyn and ignore Axel staring at me behind her.

"Get out of the car we're gonna be late," she says and although I want to be stubborn and skip, I understand.

Quickly, I roll back up the window, grab my things, get out and lock the car doors.

Stepping back I think about 'accidentally' stepping on Axel's shoe. But he doesn't deserve to even breathe the same air as me.

Axel keeps his attention on me until Matteo calls us to meet him at the entrance.

"Let's go," Jordyn says as I walk past Axel.
