Astrid had to go to her house to get something she forgot. I'm assuming it's clothes but I'm pretty fucking sure she has enough.
I'm also pretty fucking sure she can sleep through an apocalypse. Matteo was singing—more screaming than anything— at the top of his lungs this morning and she slept right through it.
He calls it was karaoke, I call it a death wish from Astrid.
Astrid.
Astrid Amora Jones is in my head constantly. It's not like I have feelings for her but I can't stop thinking about her.
"Soooo," Matteo drawls out suspiciously. "Why was Astrid not in her room?"
"None of your fucking business," I say, putting a spoonful of ice-cream in my mouth.
Rainbow Sherbet to be fucking exact.
"How come I can't have any ice-cream?"
"Because I bought it for her, not you," I grumble unhappily.
I didn't want her walking back to her house alone—or at all but her stubbornness always gets the best of her.
When I told her I'd walk her she snapped a bit. Overall she seemed moody and tense.
I know she didn't take her meds this morning. I also know she tries to hide the fact that she has to take medication.
I saw her shove them in her bag when I was at her house and I saw a glimpse of spilt pills in her bag this morning.
I don't know why she's prescribed—and I fucking hope they're prescribed— but I don't want to ask and cross the line either.
"Are you mad at Astrid?"
"Fuck. Of course not," I say, dragging my hand through my already messy hair.
"Oh. Want to watch me dance naked?"
"Jesus Christ, Matteo," I say, horrified.
"I'm just playing with you man," he says, slapping my back a little too hard.
It's hard to tell when he's actually joking..
"So where did Astrid go?"
"To go get something she forgot home," I grumble disappointingly.
"You don't sound too happy about that," he retorts, grinning widely.
"I hate you," I mumble under my breath, getting up to go upstairs. "I'm going to freshen up. And don't touch her ice-cream or you're going to have a broken arm."
