After getting through a few chapters of my book, after receiving Santon's call, I hear the front door shut.
Actually no, I hear the front door slam shut.
I figure it's Matteo leaving but I'm too pissed to go check.
Fucking Santon making me go to therapy. And when I say no he pulls out the mother card.
This is why I hate having weaknesses. The same thing with vulnerability.
Show it to the wrong person, they use it against you and you regret it for the rest of your life.
Vulnerability just tears down the walls you build up to protect or lock away certain shit.
Shit like my past.
The things I would do to disintegrate my past are beyond fucking impossible. But unless I get amnesia or some shit, it can't be done.
I put down the book and get up to write in the shitty journal that sits on my shelf.
Then I hear the door on the other side of my room slam. Pretty fucking loud.
I thought Matteo just left home but clearly he didn't. And told him whether Astrid is here or not, he can't go waltzing into her bedroom.
But his ears are located up his fucking asshole.
I put the book back down, shaking my head. Only Matteo.
Getting up, I leave my room and walk over to the room opposite mine. Before I open the door I hear a suffocated scream on the other side of the door.
That's not Matteo.
Should I leave her alone?
Fuck no.
I knock on the door. "Astrid?"
"LEAVE ME ALONE."
I roll my eyes and slowly open the door
She groans into her pillow. "Are you fucking deaf?"
"No, I only just remembered that this was my house." I step in and close the door behind me.
She sits up at the edge of the bed and crosses her arms. Her black hair is all messy, pulled into a loose high ponytail with a lot of stray hair fanning her face.
