I didn't want to move off of Axel's bed this morning but of course all good things must come to an end.
He wasn't in bed when I woke up but I did hear him and Matteo—mostly Matteo— downstairs keeping a whole lot of unnecessary noise.
If they were the reason I woke up, they would be dead.
I contemplate using Axel's shower but that would be weird so I slip into my temporary bedroom and use my own, like a smart individual.
After my shower I dug through my gym bag, looking for my sister's hoodie but then all of my pills spilled and scattered around at the bottom of the bag. Ignoring the spilt pills I focus on the more important matter at hand.
"Shit."
I forgot it.
My phone starts ringing and I look down at the contact name.
Dad.
"Why did you leave my bed?" Axel's voice scares the living shit out of me.
His morning voice is still sexy though-
Stop.I decline the call quickly and clear my throat. "Uh, because I needed to take a shower?"
"And I don't have a shower in my room?" he asks, walking into my room. He closes the door behind him and walks closer to me to fix my messed up hair properly.
"You have ice cream on your lip," I point out.
He licks it off clean and stares at me, then he looks down at my chest and his jaw tightens.
"I have to go back home for something." I zip up my bag quickly and clear my throat.
"I can walk you—"
"No thanks," I say a little too quickly.
I don't like people in my house, and I didn't like when he was in my house two days ago and I won't like it now.
"I'm not letting you walk to your house alone."
"I'm quite fine on my own." I shrug and put on the blue sweater lying on the bed.
"Astrid"
"Jesus, Axel I can fucking go on my own," I snap.
I don't mean to be snappy with him but everything is annoying me.
And I didn't take my medication.
I mutter a goodbye, I grab my phone and keys and leave him behind the bedroom.
Then I run down the stairs and go into the kitchen to find Matteo eating my ice-cream.
"What are you doing?" I cross my arms, staring at his side profile. He jumps and the spoonful of ice-cream falls to the ground.
