Fusion Fight

Nastasia and Ruby both began to twirl each other around, earning confused looks from the enemy Rubies and Mr.L as their two gems began to glow.

"What in the worlds are they doing?! This isn't the time to mess around!" Mr.L exclaimed.

"Those two Gems are trying to fuse!" One of the Rubies shouted.

"They're trying to WHAT?" Mr.L questioned.

"Stop them!" Another Ruby yelled.

The five Rubies charged and then Nastasia and Ruby became lit up. One of the Rubies picked back up the dagger from the ground and tried to thrust it into Nastasia and Ruby only for it to be knocked out of their hand. The light dispersed, and in Ruby and Nastasia's place stood a purple-colored woman with four arms and four eyes.

"It's not nice to toss around sharp objects, alright?" She said with a smile.

"It's what Diamond was saying earlier! Rhodonite!" Luigi cheered.

Rhodonite smiled in response as all of the Rubies scowled and took a few steps back.

"The Pearl and Ruby fused!" One of the Rubies exclaimed.

"Traitors!" Another shouted.

Rhodonite smiled again and drew out a mace from her gems, holding it with three of her hands.

"Stand back, I have this covered, alright?" Rhodonite said.

Luigi nodded excitedly while Mario and Mr.L simply deactivated their Firebrand and Thunderhand. The Rubies shouted battle cries and charged at Rhodonite. With one swift motion, Rhodonite swept a Ruby aside with her weapon, causing them to poof as soon as they hit the ground. Mr.L smirked and activated his Thunderhand, charging at the remaining Rubies. Mr.L sprinted up to a Ruby and hit it square in the chest, making it poof instantly.

"Heh, these guys are pretty fragile." Mr.L chuckled, "And I just thought Rhodonite made it look easy."

"I'll be the judge of that!" Mario stated.

A Ruby threw a punch at Mario and he blocked it with one hand. The Ruby kept throwing punches until the red plumber activated his Firebrand and poofed them. There were two Rubies left, and both of them were after Rhodonite.

Rhodonite used the staff part of her mace to block the Rubies kicks and punches while she tried to push them back enough to land a hit. The Rubies were trained soldiers, so Rhodonite was equally matched; a two on two battle.

"A little help, if you would, please!" Rhodonite exclaimed.

"I got this!" Luigi replied.

Luigi activated his Thunderhand and tackled one of the Rubies, poofing them instantly as they slammed into the ground. The last Ruby grunted as they tried to desperately hit Rhodonite, but was failing to land a punch. The Ruby was caught off guard by one of Rhodonite's extra arms and was quickly poofed with a swing of her mace.

Rhodonite turned to face Mario, Luigi, and Mr.L and then bowed. In a quick flash of light, Rhodonite separated back into Nastasia and Ruby. Ruby laughed and brushed her dress off as Nastasia stood up with a smile.

"I had forgotten how fun that was." Nastasia chuckled.

Ruby laughed in response as Nastasia blushed a little.

"It was... nice. And it had also been a long time since we fused, huh?" Ruby asked.

Nastasia simply smiled while Ruby giggled.

"Excuse me, but WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED?!" Mr.L yelled.

"I said that we FUSED," Ruby repeated.
