"I'm going to Thoma's house today." You said as you were packing up your bag, talking to Kaeya.
"Thoma? Yuck. You always talk about him, you like him or something?" He stuck out his tongue at you.
"Hmph, and what if I do?" You raised your head in annoyance.
"Why would you like him when you have me?" He smiled a cheeky grin.
"Ugh, you? You're so full of yourself and always play pranks on me. Thoma is way nicer. He's like a prince."
He frowned. "Hey, I can be nice too. And besides, I'm a real prince unlike him."
"Oh, really? Is this another one of your stories you make up again?"
"Nope, I'm being honest." He lowered his voice to a whisper. "My eyepatch is like a sign of royalty. It's the reason why I always wear it and can't show my eye."
"Huh, what?" You looked at him with curious eyes.
"I mean, I've wondered why you came here with an eyepatch and never took it off. Didn't you say you were related to pirates before?" You asked him.
"Well, and that too! Before I came to Monstadt, I actually had a royal guard and people bowing down at my feet."
"Hmm, I don't know if I should believe you. Why are you telling me this?" You questioned him.
"Uh.. because I.." He scratched at his head nervously.
"Well then, I got to get going now. I'll see you later, Kaeya." You put the backpack strap on your shoulder.
"Wait!" He grabbed a hold of your hand.
"Huh?" You turned around to face him.
"You can't tell anyone about that." He said with a worried expression.
"And why not?" You asked.
"Because I wasn't supposed to. I can't go into much detail, but please keep it secret." He looked genuinely concerned, which made you confused why he was so serious about something that sounded like one of his fake stories.
"Uh, okay. I won't, I promise." You said with a confused expression on your face.
"Thank you." He smiled nervously.

"And what was all of that about?" You laughed. "Are you saying you're actually a prince?"
His eyes widened briefly but he kept his composure. "Oh, that. Haha, it was just a fake story. I just wanted to scare you."
"Oh, really? You're no fun, you had me genuinely worried because of how you were acting."
He coughed. "I apologize, I was quite the prankster back in the day."
"Mhm."
