Diluc bowed at you with one hand on his waist and you curtsied at him.
"May I have this dance, Miss Y/N?"
"Of course, Sir Diluc."
He kissed your hand and you shortly after placed your hands onto his shoulders while he placed his hands on the small of your back. He swayed you back and forth gently in an elegant, swift manner.
"You're a great dancer, Sir Diluc."
"You can drop the formalities Y/N. I was just putting a show for the guests."
"Oh, okay."
"And yes I've taken quite many lessons on waltzing. Same with my brother."
"Oh, that's wonderful." You leaned your head onto his shoulder when the song changed, wrapping your arms around his neck.
"So how have things been Y/N? Has your family been doing well?"
"I've been doing well, so has my family. Is your father and brother doing well?
"Yes, they are."
While you were dancing with him, you spotted Kaeya in his formal attire. He caught your eye and you couldn't place the expression he had. Was he shocked? You haven't seen him in a long time. He decided to go to the table where the drinks were instead of standing around.
"Sorry to cut this dance short, but there's someone I'd like to see."
"It's no problem, Y/N. Thank you for coming today." You pulled away and curtsied while he bowed.
You went over to the drinks table, not seeing Kaeya anymore. "Kaeya?"
He sneaked up behind you with his mouth close to your ear. "Miss me?"
You were going to scream from almost being scared to death when he put his gloved hand over your mouth.
"Shh, you're going to alert the guests." He let go of his hand and you turned around to face him.
"Oh my god, you scared me so bad. Don't ever sneak up on me like that again."
You hit him with closed fists on his suit but lightly.
"Alright, alright. I apologize, sweetheart."
"You're more flirty than I remember." You gave him a surprised look.
"Hmm, people change." He shrugged.
"Anyways, it's been so long since I've seen you, Kaeya. I missed you." You hugged him.
"And I missed you too, dear." He held you back tightly and pulled away.
"I saw you were getting friendly with Master Diluc. You still have feelings for my brother?" He teased you.
"Oh, Diluc? No way, we're just friends. Just putting a show for the guests."
"Ah, I see. I was wondering if you wanted to get away from this party with me." He smirked.
"Well, I don't see why not."
He grabbed your hand in his and led you out of the winery in the back door where there were countless grape vines and crystalflies.
"Wow, that's gorgeous." You looked with wide eyes.
"Right? The winery looks beautiful at night." He smiled.
"Let's sit here and talk." He pointed to the chairs and table that were set outside.
You both sat down across from each other.
"How long has it been since I've not seen you, dear?" He tilted his head, asking.
"Well, it's been almost 2 years since I've been studying at the academia." You told him.
"Wow, that has been a while. I was thinking I would never see you again." He sighed with his chin resting on his hand.
"Hmm, you missed me?" You teased.
"Why, of course. You're my best friend, are you not?"
"Yes, we are." You smiled.
"Anyways, it was so sad to hear that Thoma had disappeared after his trip to find his father. I really hope he is doing well."
"Oh, yes. That was tragic indeed. He was such a kind individual. I trust that he made his way to Inazuma, he has a good heart." He sighed.
"Yep.. and what about you? I feel that there's some things that have definitely changed about you." You looked at him carefully.
"You dress more boldly than I remember." You said while staring at his earring.
"Yes, well I had a wardrobe change. I was tired of the same old drab."
"And your personality changed a bit. You've always been playful when we were kids, but you seem to be more playful and outspoken than before. You were sometimes shy as a kid, and I found that adorable."
"Adorable? Me being shy?" He was getting red, but you didn't notice in the dark of the night. "Well, that was a thing of the past. Kids grow out of their shy phases, you know?"
"Aw, that's a shame." You pouted almost.
"Do you not like the way I am now?" He asked.
"No, of course not. You'll always be the Kaeya I know." You pinched their cheek with one hand.
"Ow, stop that." You let go but he smiled afterwards.
"It was great catching up with you, will I see you again?" He asked.
"Of course, if that's what you'd like to do. I still reside in the same house."
"I see, I will let you know in the future." He stood up from his seat and lend his hand towards you to get up. You grabbed it and thanked him.
"I really missed the conversations we had." He held you in his arms in a hug.
"Me too." You hugged him back, taking in his scent of what seemed to be wine and vanilla.
"You drink now?" You questioned him.
"Well, I mean I live on a winery." He chuckled.
"Oh, yes. You're right. But don't drink too much now, okay?"
"Anything for you, darling." He pulled away smiling and made his way back to the winery.
"You can enjoy the party a little more, but I'm going to get some rest. I'll see you, Y/N."
"Goodbye, Kaeya."
