In the distance we see Zod, he’s walking out of the rubble. Zod reaches the flat surface and looks around at the damaged world engine. He is depressed. He falls to his knees.
Clark and J’onn see him, but Clark collapses from the loss of energy and damage he took when he destroyed the world engine. Zod sees them coming to him.
Zod
Look at this, we could’ve built a new Krypton with this squalor. But you chose the humans over your own people. I exist only to protect Krypton, that is the sole purpose for which I was born and every action I take no matter how violent or cruel is for the greater good of my people, and now… I have no people. That is what YOU HAVE TAKEN FROM ME!
As J’onn helps to pull Clark up, Zod rushes them and grabs them by the neck. He would then slam them to the ground, he then rams them through the military vehicles. A now bloodlusted Zod proceeds to beat the shit out of both of them, leaving nothing but rubble in his path.
Despite only recently being exposed to Earth’s atmosphere and the yellow sun Zod channels all of his anger and hatred towards Clark and J’onn and uses that to control how he manages his new abilities.
He separates the two, then focuses on Clark. He pummels him to the ground. J’onn sees this and flies over to help Clark, but Zod sees him. With his new speed and heat vision J’onn gets taken down by Zod’s heat vision. With Zod distracted by J'onn, Clark slowly gets up and flies at Zod. He tackles him across the battlefield that once had the world engine firing down at it. Zod stops him mid flight and holds him by the throat. Behind Clark he notices the swarm of military vehicles escaping the area. With a smile on his face, he chucks Clark at the first car, stopping the other two dead in their tracks.
Disoriented Clark gets up but falls back down. He looks around and sees Clark tearing through the other vehicles. In the vehicles Jimmy takes one of the kryptonian guns and shoots Zod, knocking him back. In an instant, Zod grabs Jimmy and throws him far. Zod then grabs Martha and Lois and throws them behind Clark. With Clark on the ground he tries to help, but can’t find the strength to do it. Zod then grabs Clark and holds him down. He whispers in his ear.
Zod
You took everything from me. At Least after this, we’ll be even.
Zod’s eyes begin to glow red, Lois jumps in front of Martha, and Clark struggles to get out of Zod’s grasp.
Zod
If you love these people so much (looks over at Martha) you can mourn for them.
Zod lazers them, but before it could hit them Clark releases himself from Zod’s grasp and jumps in front of Martha and Lois, taking the blast. Zod makes his lazer stronger and Clark almost collapses, but through his will Clark prevails long enough for J’onn to sneak up behind Zod and knock him out.
Once it’s over Clark collapses from the pain and blacks out. Before he’s out we could see Jimmy panting in shock.
