Years later and Clark is now a young, quiet teenager riding on a school bus to home. Unfortunately like most quiet students, Clark was the subject of bullying. It didn't bug him too much though as he they could never hurt him.

Bully:
Hey, freak!

He started poking Clark repeatedly.

Lana:
Leave him alone, Todd.

Todd:
Don't defend him! What are you, his girlfriend?

Clark looks over at Lana and smiles at her.

Todd:
Aww isn't that cute! Watch this.

Todd takes his water bottle and splashes it all over Lana. She jumps up and starts angrily drying herself off.

Lana:
You dick!

Todd laughs then looks over at Clark.

Todd
Are you gonna defend your girlfriend, huh! Are you gonna help her, freak!

Clark stood up and stood in front of Todd. Todd smiled and met him in the middle of the bus. As soon as he got there though, Clark pushed him to the ground. The bus driver watched it all go down. He should've been watching the road, as all of a sudden they were in the wrong lane. The bus swerved to the right as soon as the driver saw. They fell into the river. The bus driver was knocked out in the fall, leaving the kids defenseless.

As they sink in the river, the kids struggle to get out. They run around it frantically. They try the emergency exits, but they don't budge. The bus was beginning to fill. Now the kids were really panicking. Clark looked over at Lana, who was genuinely terrified. He looked down at his hands, confused, then thought to himself. His dad talked to him about this.

Jonathan:
Never show anyone your powers Clark, no matter what!

Clark opened his eyes and looked around at all the scared faces, as the water was now neck level. Immediately, he made his way to the back of the bus.

Clark:
I'm sorry.

He said, punching the back door repeatedly. Now the water filled the entire bus.

Moments passed, a crowd of worried people stood on the bridge, outside their cars, looking over to find the bus in the river. Multiple police officers, ambulances, and rescuers were called. To the people's astonishment, they found the bus. But that's not what surprised them, it was the fact that it was moving out of the water. It was being pushed out of the water. They never saw his face, but they did see a boy. Immediately after, that boy swam away.

Cut to Martha Kent watching the event on the news. It has been reported that a figure was seen, saving the children. Jonathan watched from the kitchen, then looked out the window to see Clark, sitting on the swing outside. He left the house to join Clark.

Jonathan:
Pretty uh... noble thing you did there.

Clark stayed silent, looking down at the ground.

Jonathan:
Do you wanna talk about it?

Clark:
Dad... what am I?

Johnathan:
You're my son, Clark.

Clark:
Tell me the truth! None of the other kids can do what I do. What am I?

Johnathan sighs and takes Clark to the shed. He opens the cellar.

Johnathan:
Down here, son.

He leads him in. Johnathan turns on the lights and shows Clark a small torn off piece from the spaceship he came in.

Clark:
What is this?

Johnathan:
This... is a part of where you came from.

Clark:
What?

Jonathan:
You're a special boy, Clark. You always have been. It's just... you weren't originally our special boy.

Clark:
What does that mean? I'm not normal. Was my life just a lie? I'm not... your son.

Clark said, gloomily.

Johnathan:
You are my son, Clark. You always have been, and always will be. Whoever sent you here sent you with a purpose.

Clark:
What purpose?

Johnathan:
I don't know yet, but that's up to you to find out.

Clark:
Can't I just go back to pretending I'm your son.

Clark looks at Johnathan, worried.

Johnathan:
You are my son!

Johnathan holds Clark and hugs him tightly. Clark begins to tear up, as he hugs him back.
