After a long while of Man of Steel level fighting and destruction J'onn notices the world engine entering the atmosphere.
J'onn
(Telepathically) Clark!
Clark hears this as he is being held down by Zod.
Clark
Kinda busy right now!
Zod
Who are you talking to?
J'onn
The world engine! It's here!
J'onn grabs Zod and points to the world engine.
Clark
What do we do?
J'onn
We-
J'onn is grabbed and thrown far away by Zod. Zod then jumps at Clark, ramming him into cars and buildings. Clark stops Zod then throws him up.
J'onn
What do we do?
J'onn goes on to explain that they need to destroy it. With J'onn and Clark's strength they can smash and tear the world engine apart. The two fly to the world engine at full speed and below them they see Zod following close by. They are also intercepted by the enemy kryptonians.
They manage to dodge most of the attacks, well J'onn does cause he can phase through them, as for Clark he is shot three times and nearly collapses until J'onn helps him fly back up. A kryptonian fires at J'onn but he phases and it goes through him, but then he turns around and sees an almost collapsing Clark about to get hit. J'onn comes in with a save and takes the hit for Clark, but that hit sends the unconscious J'onn plummeting to the ground. Clark goes down to help his friend but is slammed by Zod to the ground.
Zod
I'm almost in position, get ready.
Clark tries to help his friend but Zod continues to push him towards the world engine. They get into an all out fight, nothing but destruction is left in their path. Zod tries to demean him the entire fight, calling humans nothing more than animals, calling his parents and family useless, and calling Clark weak. For a moment this does work as Clark proceeds to smash Zod, destroying his armor bit by bit. Before Clark could strike back Zod kicks him farther.
Zod:
FIRE! Arrrgh!
Zod collapsed. Now that his armor is damaged he's exposed to Earth's atmosphere and suffers it's side effects.
Clark, confused why Zod said "fire" realizes where he's at and looks up to see the world engine directly above him. The world engine beam then fires down on Clark who falls.
