Just a few days ago I was imagining how Jason would be like with his children and here's a one shot about it because I promised you guys to get this posted after my major assignment submission. The submission didn't go as well as I had expected it to but at least it's done now and I won't have to worry about it anymore.

The main setting is that Jason and Rose from Gunpowder and Cocktails | J. Todd have decided to settle down and start their own family after Rose finds out that she's pregnant. They move in together and this one shot focuses on the very early days of our lovely couple with their firstborn.

She looked down at the little bundle of blankets in her arms out of which a tiny head was peeking through. She couldn't believe that the baby boy she was holding in her arms was her own and to her, he seemed the most adorable creature she had ever seen.

Jason was siting beside her, watching her look at their child as if enraptured. A soft smile played upon his lips to see her fully absorbed in studying the child's features, as if trying to ascertain who he resembled most.

There was a clump of silver on his dainty head and those eyes though shut were oceanic blue like his father's, missing the fleck of green within.

"So what do you think? Isn't he the most handsome little boy, just like his Dad?" Jason asked and his voice seemed to have shaken her out of the train of thought she had embarked on upon seeing her child for the first time.

"Even more handsome than his Dad, to be honest," she spoke up at last, a smile flickering on her features too as she finally looked up at Jason.

"Just the first day with our son and you're already taking his side."

"Get used to it," she had taken the dainty little hand in her own, bending down to kiss it.

A warmth spread in her heart as she did so and though the feeling was very new to her, she felt as if she was finally complete; with both her husband and her son.

"But he does look a lot like me, you can't deny that."

She shook her head, "just because he has your eyes doesn't mean he automatically looks like you."

"But he has the white streak too!"

"Silver, Jay, his hair are silver. Like mine."

"A lovely combination nevertheless," he leaned in to gently stroke the baby's head.

"Hey, he's asleep. Don't do that or he'll wake up," she warned but deep down the warmth in her hear increased to see Jason dote upon the child.

"Let him wake up. Luke and Steph are waiting outside and they already have a bet on who this little buddy resembles most so if he doesn't wake up, Steph will lose the bet."

"Oh come on..." She shook her head, a laugh almost breaking forth from her. "Why are they still waiting outside though? Tell them to come in."

"Alright. Fair warning though once they do come in, it would be impossible to make Steph leave. So if you're tired and want to rest, leave it to me and I'll keep them out for an hour or two."

"No, I am fine. Don't make them wait, Jason. Bring them in."

He nodded and stood up, going to door of the room that he pulled open. Sure enough, Steph and her boyfriend were still there, patiently waiting for him to let them in.

"You guys can come in but my son is asleep so you better not make a lot of noise."

"We know, zombie, step aside," and with that Steph had stepped into the room, a wide smile taking over her face as she saw Rose and the child, "I can't wait to see the cute little thing."
