Brotherly Bonding [Sparky Part 2]

Since I had told you guys that I will be doing more one shots featuring Sparky the guide dog from Oculus | J. Todd, here you go. This one shot is focused on Tim and Damian meeting Sparky for the first time.

Tim kept his eyes straight ahead as he walked down the rather familiar lane in East End, trying to ignore the presence of the ten year old trailing after him. He had gotten into a fight with Damian again which was honestly nothing new but in an attempt to make them sort out their issues, Richard had told them that they would have to stick together for the whole day.

It was a horrible idea, according to Tim, because it only presented more opportunities for Damian to get angry at him and start another fight. And since he had to go visit Evelyn that day for the regular piano lessons, he was a bit sour that Damian would have to come too.

Surprisingly, the kid hadn't objected to their eldest brother's strange rule for brotherly bonding, despite the expression of complete inconvenience on his face. And ever since then, Damian had been tagging behind Tim while the elder was trying his best to ignore him.

The only time when that irritated expression had faded into a look of surprise was when they had to take the subway to East End and Damian had been looking around in curiosity at the underground station and the trains.

Tim had been tempted to explain a bit to him about the subway but decided against it, not knowing whether the boy would appreciate the gesture or start another fight.

He thought that he would explain only if Damian asked himself but the younger boy had too much pride to do so, hence Tim had just let him be.

He came to a halt in front of the door to Evelyn's house and took in a deep breath, knowing that an explanation was overdue so he turned to face the little demon kid.

"Damian, this is my friend Evelyn's house and I am here to meet her," he spoke up, "and I think I should remind you that she is Jason's friend too. So it would be better if you behave and not cause a scene in there to upset her or else you'll have Jay to deal with."

Damian had crossed his arms defiantly, "did I cause a scene on the entire journey here?"

"No..."

He clicked his tongue in irritation, "I am not a child, Drake, you don't have to chastise me for something I would never do."

Tim shook his head, then turned back to ring the doorbell, "alright, that's taking it a bit too far since you cause a scene every now and then but whatever."

"And I am absolutely not scared of you or Todd. If I have to deal with him, I will deal with him." Damian had huffed and turned his face away in an expression of annoyance. 

Tim paid him no heed and rang the bell again.

Shortly after the door opened revealing Evelyn and Tim had been just about to greet her but paused hearing a bark. A golden retriever was standing by her feet and was inquisitively looking at the two boys.

"Tim, what a pleasant surprise," a smile had taken over Evelyn's features, as always she could easily tell him apart from others though she had sensed he wasn't alone out there, "and it seems you've brought someone with you."
