A Short Story: Freddy And Gregory

Freddy was on his knees, while Chica and the other animatronics stood above him. No one knew what to say or do. Freddy cared about Gregory the way a father cares about a son. Vanessa came running into the room.

"What happened....?" Asked Vanessa.

No reply.

"Freddy are you alright...? Why are you on your knees?" Vanessa asked again.

Still no reply.

"Does it have something to do with that kid?" Vanessa sighed.

"Gregory is gone" said the sad bear with a tiny quake in his voice.

"What do you mean gone? Did he leave? It's not even 6 am yet" Vanessa said with a questionable look on her face.

"There was a killer in a rabbit costume after him, Officer Vanessa. He went with her" Freddy said, voice starting to crack.

"Oh hell no" Vanessa said finally.

Vanessa ran out of the room and through the mega pizzaplex until she got to VANNY's hideout. She kicked the door open to find little Gregory hiding in a corner and VANNY was standing above him. Tears streaming down the little boy's face.

"That{was~a'very¿noble¤thing•to:do$ for/a<seven×year-old" VANNY said.

With scratches all over him. VANNY gently picked him up, brought him over to Vanessa who was standing at the door, and glitched away.

"What was that about!?" Vanessa shrieked.

She noticed the boy was shaking and tears still streamed down his face, and then she remembered the image of Freddy, on his knees. Then it clicked.

Gregory went with VANNY because he knew that VANNY was hurting Freddy!

Vanessa gently carried him out until he fell asleep while she was carrying him back to Freddy. When she finally got over there she wanted to make Freddy happy. She wanted to see him smile because she heard from other animatronics that Freddy only smiled when he was on stage or with Gregory.

"Freddy, stand up" she said firmly from behind him.

Slowly, he stood up but he still remained facing where he was chasing Gregory and VANNY and his eyes looked deep and still remained fixated on the floor.

"I want you to close your eyes and turn around" Vanessa said with a smirk.

Freddy turned around with eyes closed.

"Now, hold out your hands like you're holding the most important thing in the world to you" Vanessa said with a smile.

He did as told and wondered why she was having him do this. She then quietly woke Gregory and told him to be very quiet. She placed Gregory in Freddy's arms, Gregory not moving a muscle, couldn't help but smile.

"Alright you can open your eyes now" she said.

Freddy opened his eyes and looked down. He saw the small boy and something started leaking from his eyes. He pulled the boy closer and hugged him gently and tightly.

"I thought you were gone" Freddy said, voice shaking slightly.

"I didn't want to let her hurt you" the boy exclaimed.

"Well what you did hurt me the most of all" said Freddy not letting the child go from the hug.

"Sorry" said the boy, slightly giggling.

"What are you laughing at Gregory? This is not the time to be laughing" said Freddy trying to be official.

Gregory burst out laughing.

"What happened to being good at acting!? You don't sound very official" Said the boy through laughs.

Freddy gave a big warm smile to the boy and was returned with more giggles. Freddy was happy to see his little face smile again.

*Note: the part with VANNY is based off the idea that she is not a good follower of Glitchtrap meaning she doesn't do everything he says, because remember Glitchtrap is controlling her to do it, it isn't her own free will*
