Chapter 8: 36th and 37th entry
Song: Beat It ~ Michael Jackson
Months went by and Toman won every fight and grew larger almost every day. Takashi's sewing club had to work overtime to be able to finish the uniforms for the new members in time. You currently had five divisions. Manjiro as the leader and Ken as the vice-leader. Kei led the first division together with Chifuyu as the attack unit. Then came the second division, the elite guards, with Takashi as the leader and Hakkai as his vice-leader. The third division which specialised in brute force was led by Pah and Peh. Smiley and Angry were the leaders of the fourth division. And lastly Mucho and Sanzu led the fifth division whose task it was to punish traitors and solve infighting. Although you are no division leader or vice-leader you are highly acknowledged throughout the whole gang. In every fight you would patch them up at the sidelines in order to not get involved in the fight but still be able to help them out. It would also be rather inconvenient to patch someone up in the middle of where everyone is fighting so everyone knows if they need to be patched up they have to leave the fight and search for you on the sidelines.
You still remembered how everyone joined the gang but the most notable was Sanzu. You knew him for some time now as you were all friends with Manjiro.
It was at one of the meetings when Manjiro suddenly arrived, holding Sanzu by the collar like some cat. He was slightly injured so you went to patch him up while Manjiro was talking to Mucho about sanzu joining his division. "Hey Sanzu, finally decided to join Toman?" you asked. He merely glanced at you and nodded. "Neat! I'm Toman's nurse. If you ever get hurt just visit me." you smiled at him comfortingly as he seemed lost. "Okay." Sanzu mumbled but you were already used to his quietness. He only really talks when Manjiro is around. Or sometimes when you and Sanzu were alone but that rarely happened. You left so Mucho and him could get to know each other as Sanzu was now in the care of Mucho. The first few times Sanzu visited you often to get himself patched up as he was involved in many fights because people kept insulting Toman. But as time passed Mucho taught him how to also take care of oneself and that was also the moment when Sanzu began wearing a mask. You were slightly sad that his handsome face was now half-covered but you could also understand that he may have felt insecure about his scars. In Toman you spent more time with Sanzu than before he joined the gang. You two became closer due to his frequent visits to get patched up. And now you even are on first name basis.
Now that Haruchiyo's hair grew longer you would often ask him if you could braid his hair. You don't know when your habit of braiding someone's hair began- probably when Ken grew his hair out and didn't know how to style it- but it became a calming ritual. Sometimes you would braid Emma's and Manjiro's hair but Kei was your main target as he was around you almost constantly. Next was Haruchiyo as you both enjoyed each other's company. You kinda missed it to braid Ken's hair but Emma took over your task because Ken was at their house every morning to style Manjiro's hair. This girl wanted to spent as much time with Ken as possible and you couldn't blame her for it.
