Anais teleported in front of a very cozy looking house. It seemed to be in good condition, even if the white paint in certain places were beginning to crumble away.

She stared at it for a good minute, analysing possible exterior threats and finally want inside. When she opened the door, she felt a strange pression fall unto her skull, making her mind fuzzy.

Must be Trigon's powers. She figured.

She didn't really remember why she was here exactly, but she still explored the house. All rooms were decorated contemporarily and were, in her opinion, pretty. It was exactly what she had imagined in all the time she spent in her lifelong prison, the asylum.

It's to good to be true...

She then heard a weird noise coming form the second floor. Scared and conscious, she grabbed a pan that was laying on the kitchen's counter and made her way up stairs. To her bewilderment the noises transformed into a light gurgling. Her instincts taking over when she recognized the noise, she followed hastily to the main bedroom where a white crib had been places beside a window.

She walked slowly towards it, unable to believe what her eyes were showing her. A little green-eyed baby was starring back at her. The babe had raven hair and mustn't have weighed more than 7 pounds. It was so little, she thought she would break her like a stick if she ever took it in her arms.

It smiled at her, and she smiled back, happy to see her again. She couldn't believe it; her baby girl was alive and well! Tears swelled her eyes and flowed on her face, landing on the little baby's cheek.

Seeing her cry, the girl clenched her mom's index with her little palms. Anais heard footsteps coming towards the room. Not bothering to turn around, too ashamed to let them see her face damped in tears, she played with her baby girl.

Someone wrapped her in their arms and put their chin on their head, trying to reassure them.

" Is everything all right, love? " The man asked her, squeezing her tightly behind her.

She suddenly burst into tears, turned around and buried her face in his chest. The man continued to whisper soft words in her ear, trying to calm her a little. Little kisses on her head, strokes on her back and his voice were all she needed. Her eyes still full of tears, she titled her head upwards and kissed them lovingly.

When it was over, she looked attentively to the man standing in front of her.

" Garfield? " She asked confused.

He laughed lightly and kissed her forehead gently.

" Yeah, it's me... it's okay. I'm here. "

He smiled at her, his green eyes sparkling with love.

" Are you okay, now? I knew you were stressing over becoming a mother, but I never thought you would need this much cuddling sessions after labour. " He joked.

Anais laughed, taking him in for another sweet kiss. When she softly pushed herself back, she explained herself:

" I can't actually believe we have her now... " She turned around and looked at the beautiful angel who was now sleeping peacefully. " She's so beautiful... " She let another tear fall.

Garfield caught it and quickly helped her clean her face.

" Our little angel, our miracle... " He chuckled when the little baby stretched herself in her sleep. " So much like her mama. " He kissed one of Anais wet cheeks, making her chuckle.

They stayed there, staring at their creation. Unexpectedly, Garfield passed one of his arms under his wife's knees and one on her back. He pulled her up in his arms. Making sure she was safely gripping on his neck, he walked over to the bed and gently laid Anais on the soft mattress. Getting on top off her, he pushed a stray hair off her face and leaned in. He slid his mouth from her collarbone to her sensitive neck.
