Wingdings put on his absolute best black pleated suit with a white undershirt, dark purple tie, and black fedora with a white band around the rim. After all, he'd just turned 18, and he wanted to look the part of the heir to the Don. Years of babysitting and finally, he could take his place at his father's side. He wasn't the only one dressed up nicely for this day though. Everyone in the family knew that Wingdings had been waiting a long time for this moment. Roman wore his 'night in the club' outfit, consisting of a dark grey, cotton, pinstriped suit with a light grey undershirt, and a white tie with a pinstriped fedora to match. He stood proudly by the door, awaiting Wingdings. Sans, now age 15, wore a blue tweed suit with a light blue undershirt, dark blue tie, and his 'lucky' black fedora with a yellow band around the rim. He didn't care that it didn't match the rest of the outfit, it was the sentiment that mattered. Then there was Papyrus, nearing age 10, who'd gotten up early to shower and make sure he looked his best for Wingdings big day. He wore a brown wool suit with a white undershirt, orange bow tie that couldn't be seen over his new favorite scarf that their mother had made him, and an orange wool cap. Pretoria wore her favorite lilac dress.

When Wingdings did come out, everyone smiled. "Look at my boy.. all grown up.." Pretoria was so very proud of Wingdings. "you boys have fun out there!" Sans patted his big brother's back, tail wagging. Wingdings tail wagged too. "Thanks Sans, but this is a business trip, not a day of fun." Wingdings pointed out. Sans shrugged. "still, i know you've been waiting on this." Wingdings smiled. Yes he has. "BE CAREFUL OUT THERE TOO! DON'T COME BACK HURT!" Papyrus yelled. "We won't." Wingdings promised, before going to his father. "Well don't know look fancy." Roman teased lightly. "Father." Wingdings sweatdropped. Roman laughed lightly, turning around to grab a case then turned back to Wingdings. "Happy birthday Wingdings.. you should never leave the house without this.." Wingdings curiously opened the case, gently removing a revolver from within. "My own..." Roman nodded seriously. "The streets are dangerous for our kind. Skeletons aren't widely accepted due to our close relationship with humans in the past." Wingdings nodded, tucking the gun away. All three boys were trained from a young age to use a gun, mostly for self protection reasons. "Now that you're ready, let's not wait any longer!" Roman nudged Wingdings towards the door, opening it so he could go first. " See you Pretoria, boys. We'll be back by dinner!"
"You better be!" Pretoria chided playfully.⛓⛓⛓
It honestly wasn't to much different then going to the store with his mother, only this time Wingdings was with his father. Roman had taken a more serious expression, eyelights darting everywhere. He was on high alert. He wouldn't let any monster harm his son. Alleys were usually the most dangerous. A quiet place to be dragged in and dusted for your money. Some monsters were like that too. They made it to the mayor's house without incident, luckily. Roman knocked and the Dreamurr family's bodyguard answered. "What do you, oh. It's you, Roman. Another appointment with Toriel and Asgore?" His father nodded. "Indeed I do, Grillby. Wingdings, this is Grillby, the Bodyguard to Toriel and Asgore. Grillby, this is my son and heir, Wingdings. "How do you do, sir."
"How do you do,Wingdings." Grillby replied smoothly. "Well come on. They are waiting."⛓⛓⛓
Grillby led them through the house and to the mayor's office. Along the way, Wingdings had waved to what seemed to be a maid. The squat yellow dino sure looked like one. She'd smiled and gave a small wave back. Upon Grillby's soft knock, they were let in. "How are you today, lady Toriel, sir Asgore?" Roman took his seat immediately, Wingdings quickly following his father's lead. "I am fine. Who's this strapping young lad?"
"I am Wingdings Gaster, and I have turned 18, I'm not a 'lad' anymore." Wingdings replied quickly, readjusting his tie. Roman rolled his pinpricks. "He's my son and heir." Toriel giggled. "I see. Well, negotiations with the humans are going poorly, unfortunately. It may be a few more years before they let us in, they can't even seem to respect their own species of different color.." She sighed heavily. Wingdings listened as they talked. It seemed to him that humans were even worse then monsters. He didn't know how skeletons could have been so close to the species. It seemed that his Great Grandfather had been one hell of a man.⛓⛓⛓
They knew something was wrong the moment they got home. The front door was busted in. That alone had both males in a panic. "PRETORIA! SANS! PAPYRUS!" Roman yelled as they split up and searched the house Wingdings found his mother's dust in the kitchen. "M-mom!" He clung to the dusty dress, sobbing. Roman found more dust in the living room with some strangers clothing and a gun not to far away. This was no doubt the intruder, but what happened? Papyrus was found curled up and crying in the dumbwaiter. "Shh, shh. Papyrus. I am here now.. what happened?" Roman picked up the youngest, who buried his skull into Roman's clavicle, claws digging into his suit. "Pap, I cannot help, if I don't know what's going on." Roman insisted lightly. "I-I DON'T KNOW... SANS HID ME IN THERE A-AND I HEARD THE GUN GO OFF..." Papyrus started sobbing harder. Roman started searching for Sans now, him seeming to have been in the danger zone. He was found in the bathroom. He was a dusty mess as he stared blankly at the floor. "Sans..?" Something was obviously wrong with the boy, as Roman approached cautiously. "s-she's dead... h-he killed her.. i-i didn't mean to- i-i lost control- s-something is wrong with me-" Roman hugged Sans as soon as he got close enough to. "Shh, Sans, shh. It will be alright." How had things gone oh so wrong?
