Langa's POV

The whole gang was spending the night at a hot spring inn, a rare chance to relax after so much skating, school, and everything else life threw at us. The place had an old-fashioned charm, with wooden sliding doors and the faint scent of natural spring water lingering in the air. The warm glow of lanterns lined the path to the baths, casting long shadows as Reki and I trailed behind the group.

As usual, we were lost in our own little world, talking about anything and everything. Tonight, his curiosity landed on Canada.

"Langa, do you miss being in Canada?" Reki asked, his voice quieter than usual.

I hesitated. The answer wasn't simple. "Well... yes and no. I mean, I grew up there, so of course, I miss it. The snow, snowboarding, my dad... but at the same time, I wouldn't trade coming here for anything. If I hadn't, I never would have met you or everyone else." I smiled at him, the words coming out softer than I expected.

He went silent, chewing on his bottom lip as he absentmindedly picked at his thumbs—a nervous habit. "If you had the chance... would you go back and live there again? Or just visit?"

That question made my chest tighten a little. "I'd visit, sure. I'd like to see my dad's old spots, maybe go snowboarding one more time... but living there? I don't think I could, not without you."

A faint pink dusted my cheeks, and Reki's eyes widened slightly before he looked away, a lopsided grin tugging at his lips. "It would be cool to visit someday. I've never left Okinawa before," he admitted with a chuckle.

"Then we should go together someday."

"Yeah... I'd like that."

The conversation carried on until we arrived at the springs, only snapping back to reality when Miya called out, "Hey, lovebirds, over here!"

We both turned toward him, and I swear my face burned even hotter than the steamy pools we were about to soak in.

After dinner and a long soak in the springs, we finally settled into our rooms. Miya got his own space, Joe and Cherry shared theirs—probably arguing like an old married couple right now—and Reki and I... well, we had only one bed and a recliner.

At first, we tried deciding who would take what, but neither of us budged. In the end, we just agreed to share the bed. It wasn't like it was the first time. The only problem was... what if one of the guys walked in and saw us cuddling?

Oh well. We'd just have to wake up early.

We lay side by side, warm under the blankets, the room dimly lit by the moonlight seeping through the curtains. The quiet hum of the night surrounded us, the occasional rustling of trees outside blending with the faint sound of Miya playing his Nintendo in the next room.

Reki suddenly turned to face me, eyes soft, cheeks slightly flushed. "Langa... can I have a kiss?" His voice was barely above a whisper, a quiet plea.

I didn't even hesitate. Shifting closer, I cupped the side of his face and pressed my lips to his. He melted into me, his fingers gripping the front of my shirt as he sighed softly against my lips.

"Please don't ever move back to Canada... at least not without me," he mumbled, burying his face against my chest.

I stroked his hair, my heart clenching at the way he held onto me. "I would never. There's no way I could live without you, Reki."

His head lifted slowly, his eyes locking onto mine with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine. He kissed me again, firmer this time, his fingers gripping my wrist to pull me closer. The heat between us built quickly, the soft brush of lips turning into something deeper.

His hands slid up to my shoulders, his nails slightly digging in as his lips parted against mine. I tilted my head, deepening the kiss, my hand slipping down to his waist. He let out the faintest gasp as I pulled him flush against me.

Seconds stretched into minutes, time blurring as we lost ourselves in each other. His breath was hot against my lips, his fingers tangling in my hair. The soft sounds he made between kisses had my heart racing, my body feeling almost weightless.

Then—

"Hey, Reki, can I borrow your headphones? Joe snores like crazy, and it's—"

Miya's sleepy voice cut through the air like a knife.

Reki froze.

I froze.

We both turned to see Miya standing in the doorway, rubbing his eyes, his gaze slowly focusing on the scene in front of him. Reki was straddling my waist, our faces still inches apart, lips slightly swollen from kissing.

There was a beat of silence. Then Miya's eyes widened, and before either of us could react, he whipped out his phone.

Click.

Reki practically jumped off of me. "Miya—what the hell?!"

Miya smirked, clearly way too pleased with himself. "Relax, I'm not gonna show or tell anyone," he said, pocketing his phone. "This is just blackmail for later." He strolled over to grab the headphones from the desk, then made his way back to the door. "Have fun, lovebirds," he teased before shutting it behind him.

Silence.

Reki sat on the bed, completely stiff, face burning red. I wasn't sure if he was mortified or about to pass out.

"Reki?" I asked gently.

"...I'm gonna die," he muttered, burying his face in his hands.

I chuckled, wrapping my arms around him and pulling him against my chest. "It's okay. He won't tell anyone. And even if he did... does it really matter?"

Reki tensed for a moment before slowly relaxing, gripping my shirt tightly. "...What if the others find out and they hate us?"

I sighed, kissing the top of his head. "They won't hate us. I promise."

I wasn't completely sure, but I knew one thing—I wasn't going to let him feel like this alone. I pulled him closer, letting his warmth sink into me as his breathing slowed.

"Okay," he whispered.

I kissed his forehead one last time before we both drifted to sleep, tangled up together.
