The weeks that follow Bellamy makes sure Clarke eats everyday. While he doesn't so much give the other inmates the same attention to detail, they weren't his main concern. Unlike the others Inmate 319 was a mystery, and being the curious man he is, Bellamy wants to solve the mystery.  Although she hasn't spoken since that day, she does glare less and smiles more, if you could call it a smile. But Bellamy could tell she was grateful and seemed to respond easier to him than Pike. There's less flinching and more silent communication. Which confuses him more as the action progresses.

Clarke Griffin is said to be this ruthless killer, a monster, but she seems to be less of a problem than a field mouse. She's quiet, listens, obedient, and in her own way, kind from what Bellamy has seen. Once in the yard he witnessed her bend down to pick a wild daisy and hold it, the first real smile he's seen on her face since he's met her. She couldn't keep it, they both knew that. So when it was time to go in she silently handed it to Bellamy with a small nod. It was small gesture, but had a much larger meaning- she was starting to trust. Either that or this was her way of showing gratitude. But then there were days where she was the definition of a stubborn princess. Her mood and the way she would respond to Bellamy changed with each day. One minute she seems to good to have done anything to be arrested, and other day's she doesn't want to move no matter the order. But still she wasn't a monster. And yet today was one of those days where she was less angelic and more stubborn.

She nearly refused to go outside, giving Bellamy no other choice but to pull her out of bed with more of a struggle than needed, at first he simply thought she was feeling sick, but her irritated huff and angry  showed she was simply tired and didn't feel like going outside today. But given it was assigned for her to be out, she had no other choice. Once he has her on her feet she drags her legs throughout the halls and slumps against the fence the entire time as she is standing outside. Rather than stand still for an hour she, alternates digging her shoes into the gravel and dirt below them. It was frustrating. Just when he started to see the innocence and gain her trust, she pulls away and shows him she wasn't as easy to figure out as he originally thought her to be. But one thing is for certain, she's no monster.

He doesn't mean to speak, truly he doesn't, but seeing her standing there, slumped forward in exhaustion, he could 't help but wonder why she doesn't make a case for herself and change things. Prison is horrible and more often than not difficult, many know this, but Clarke makes it more difficult on herself than it needs to be. With attacking other inmates and potentially starting a riot she puts herself on a radar she has no reason to be on, especially if she's innocent. Its a working theory Bellamy needs to prove, or have her admit. And with the investigators not having any hard core evidence besides finding her in a room with dead bodies and a few circumstantial fingerprints at another scene, they couldn't pin her down. She was here on a number of allegations and a few minor charges. If Clarke would open up to the judges and investigators she could lessen her sentence and maybe even be free within a couple of years instead of being on the scale of facing death row or staring at the same four walls for the rest of her life. so he speaks. It was pointless, and infuriating.

"You didn't tell Pike?" She asks. Bellamy brushes off his shock at hearing her talk again and shake this head.

"I don't really have a reason to, do I? You just told me the chain was hurting." She doesn't say anything to respond. Instead she goes back to kicking rocks and looking at the ground.

He watches her, her blonde hair falling around her, blue eyes cast downward in exhaust. Unlike pike, Bellamy gives Clarke a full hour outside her cell, letting her soak in the sun's rays. Her skin was pale, very pale, and after learning about her none existent food schedule, Bellamy knew how important it was she be exposed to the sun and it's natural vitamins.
