A Couple Of Thoughts

Dream? Nightmare? Or Real?

You're outside

The sky is pale blue

And the clouds are fluffy

They said it would rain

But where is the sign?

You look around more carefully

You notice light gray clouds

Maybe only light rain?

The sky starts to darken

And you hear a light rumble

The clouds start to darken

The rain starts slow with light droplets

You quickly rush back inside the warm house before it downpours

You watch the scene unfold

The rumbling grows a little louder

And it rains a little harder

It doesn't stop there though

The rumbling gets even louder

The rain pours extremely hard

A huge rumble occurs

Shaking the house

You hear cackling outside

As lightning tears through the sky and smacks the ground with a sickening crack

Right where you were standing moments before causing a blinding light

You startle awake, finding yourself in bed and it's raining outside

Was it only a dream?

Or a nightmare?

Whatever it was it wasn't real

Or was it?
