Walking on an island
It's so full of beauty
The prettiest green forests
The sand is so soft
Comfy enough to sleep on
The ocean is so pretty
It sparkles
This island seems to be so divine and perfect
But it holds secrets
Secrets it doesn't want to let out
It hides the pieces it finds ugly
It hides its flaws
Making it look perfect
Until one day it can't hide it anymore
It secretly had a volcano and it erupts
All over the beautiful island
The beauty being engulfed by lava and ash
Showing what it hides underneath
It has crevices
It has flaws
And is imperfect
Has been all along
People try to hide their flaws too
The volcanic eruption shows your hiding of who you are exploding on you
Not being honest in the first place
Hiding from the ones who love you for who you are and would never judge you
Imperfection is beautiful and we all have it
So stop hiding who you really are
The ones who leave you or judge you for it
Didn't deserve you anyway
People who love and care about you
Will not judge you for who you are
You can't hide yourself away forever anyway
It'll be revealed and it'll be harder for you
So don't hide yourself from the people who love you.
