A Couple Of Thoughts

Snow Day

Snowy flakes falling from the sky

Twinkling in the light as they fall

So pretty but so cold

Frozen hands and cold feet

Having to bundle and warm your house

So you don't freeze to death

It's all fun for the kids

Having no worries

All the stress on the adults

Who have to keep the house warm

The parents not wanting their kids to freeze

As they buy all the necessities to keep them warm

Working extra hard to keep the bills to pay for the furnace they are using

What about the snow days?

All fun for the kids, having no school and going to play

But the adults are snowed in and can't go out

It's dangerous, too much to risk to go out to get food for you and your kids

Maybe you can find something to feed them

Even if you have to starve, it's anything for your children

Why so much stress over snow?

Well maybe your family doesn't have much to worry

But think about the families who barely pass by

Or think about the homeless, freezing in the cold

Not everyone has things going good

As a kid you don't have much worries

So it's ok unless you are a kid in a struggling family

Enjoy the snow days if you can

And don't forget about the people struggling.
