Seven

We talked to Slughorn.

As Dumbledore drops us off he stops me.
"I need your help." He says.
"With?" I ask suspiciously.
"I need you to befriend Draco." He says. I laugh.
"You're joking."
"No. I suspect he's gotten the dark mark and will have a mission to go after us. You need to befriend him to see what you can find out." He says.
"Fine." I say.
"Thank you."

I look down and see his hand. It's gone black. I don't ask about it.

————Draco's pov

He just gave me the dark mark. I'm scared. I don't want to look at it. I can't.
"Draco." He says.
"Yes?" I ask forcing myself to look up at him.

"There's one more thing you have to do for me." Other than kill Dumbledore?
"What's that?" I ask feeling my voice shake.
"Befriend Y/n potter." No. No. No.
"What?"
"She's working for the other side. If you befriend her she'll tell you secrets. Then we can be steps ahead."
"Yes, my lord." I say. I don't want to do this. We've been bullying her for years she's not going to just trust me.
"Get her to trust you Draco." He says.

We see Olivanders is closed.
"This is really sad." I say.
"Yeah." Harry says.

We see Draco and his mom walk by. We follow. We climb onto the roof.

I see Draco. He looks different. He's wearing a whole suit and tie. He also looks sad. He walks over to a cabinet.
"What's that?"

A guy looks out the window and we duck before he sees us. He closes the blinds.

"Let's go." I say.

We get on the train. Luna walks by handing out quibblers.

"He's got to be a death eater." Harry says.
"He might." I say.
"He definitely is." Harry says.
"We can't be so sure." Hermione says.
"His dad is." Ron says.
"He was also sent to Azkaban." I say.

"Besides that, Dumbledore has a suspicion he is. He also wants me to befriend him." I say.
"That's absurd." Hermione says.
"I know but it would be helpful to the order. I could figure out if he has it, get him to trust me."
"Are you going to sleep with him?" Ron asks.
"What?" Hermione and I ask.
"Well, to see the mark, he has to take his shirt off." Ron says.
"Ronald, you're so dumb." Hermione says.

"I just have to get him to trust me enough to show me it. I will not be sleeping with him." I say.
"You never know." Ron says.
"She won't." Harry says thinking.

After a bit he gets up and walks away.

I have a feeling he's going to do something to Draco.

I get up and start walking over there. I'm just going to walk by and act like I'm going to go to the bathroom.

I walk by but Pansy puts her foot out to trip me.
"Oh my god. I'm so sorry." She says smugly after I fall on the floor. I scoff. Draco gives me a hand up.
"Thanks." I say to him. He nods.

I look around quickly. I don't see him.

"You alright there?" Pansy asks me.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I say smiling.
"Okay, just don't want you getting hurt." She says smiling. "Not like Cedric of course." She adds. I'm about to say some very not nice things.
"That's enough Pansy." Draco says.

Why did he do that? She looks at him confused. Maybe getting him to trust me wont be so hard.

"I'm gonna go." I say. I keep walking.

On my way back I try to see if I can see Harry. I see the suitcase move at the top though. I know it's him.

Pansy smiles at me. I smile back and keep walking.

I get back to Hermione and Ron. Harry's still gone.

The train stops and we get off. We change and sit down.

Harry and Draco aren't back yet. I'm getting worried.

Draco walks in. We make eye contact.

Where is Harry?

"Would you stop eating your best friend is missing!" Hermione says hitting Ron.
"Oi. Turn around you lunatic." He says pointing. We both turn. Behind her is Harry. He's bleeding.

I look over at Draco who's resting his head on his hand, he looks sad. Really sad.

"What happened?" I ask as he sits down.
"I'll tell you later." He says.
